"This is a perfect holiday location....the apartment has everything you need & was spotlessly clean. Gengenbach is probably the prettiest town we saw in the Black Forest & a fantastic base to explore the region. We stayed 11 nights & used the train on the Konus card scheme every day bar 1.....great for taking the stress away & having a German beer or 2! Anja was fantastic in welcoming us & giving lots of tips on where to eat etc....she was always at the end of the phone if we had a question....

My wife was very displeased with the fact that we adopted a used sponge for the dishes. The stovetop was very uncooperative and took forever to heat up and never heated to a boil for water. We like to cook on our trips, and the kitchen was a little sparse, but it was fine, and everything else was great. Hosts were very friendly and helpful (as was their dog - friendly, I mean).
