The Katy Caboose in Hartsburg

  • Our charming Katy Caboose is located right on the Katy Trail in Hartsburg, MO, offering a truly unique stay. The caboose features a spacious outdoor area with a large deck, table seating, a hammock, and Adirondack chairs for relaxation. Inside, you'll find a cozy kitchenette, a full bed, and a twin trundle bed, comfortably sleeping four. The private bathroom is located in the cottage next to the caboose, reserved exclusively for guests of the caboose. Bath features full sink, toilet, and walk-in shower. Towels, linens, and toiletries including shampoo, soap, toilet paper are included! The caboose features a mini-fridge, microwave, bar stools & dining table, small sofa, and rocking chair. The heat is provided by space heaters and a/c is a window unit. Lots of light from skylights and windows all through the train car.

Traveled to KC for a world cup game and found this unique property. It was clean, remote, good parking and easy check in/check out process. Comfortably accommodated 4 adults. Awesome stay, highly recommended!

Fun little place right on the Katy Trail. Hosts were very responsive, and we enjoyed our stay. Know two things: 1) bathroom is in a separate building next door; 2) food choices, especially before the weekend, are almost non existent. But that's not the owners fault-they provided a great place to stay and we will do so again next time we are on the Katy. Thanks!
