"The hotel has an awesome location on Houghton Lake. But i was going late in the season and the weather wasn't good. The reason i picked the hotel was for the new pool and hot tub. I got there on thursday and the hot tub was out of service until monday. They said the pool was heated, but definitely was not warm.They also didn't clean the room. I later found a 2 sided doorhanger on the floor that you were supposed to set on the door to get your room cleaned. I like the hotel and the location and i will give them another chance. But i will dejinitely call closer to checin to see if hot tub is working."
"A great motel , very spacious room, very clean , nice hot shower/bath . Very pleasant and helpful young woman at front desk who told me about town , dining options, etc . Price can’t be beat for what you get ! "
"This place is just adorable. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to make meals with. The backyard is perfect if you are bringing a dog. Its complete with a doggy door. There are plenty of places to sleep for your whole family. The bathroom was cute and i loved the details of the home the owners put into it. I could tell the home was decorated with their heart and passion. There are also plenty of shops in town to visit. The artsy fartsy boutique was my favorite. We really had a great time here. A perfect place to relax and unwind. "

"Clean & Spacious! What an awesome place to spend a few days making memories. Our favorites were the hammocks, the little creek setting for watching frogs, hummingbirds and other wildlife. And the soft, sandy beach/kayaks put it over the top. We would return in a heartbeat. Thanks Roxie. "

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to book any massages while I stayed there during the weekday and will just have to do so on my next trip.
The In- house dining experience was great with ample variety of options, however I noticed some inconsistency on the to go charges. For example I wasn't charged for the 10% to go fee on the first couple times I ordered food but on the last day, I saw a 10% to go fee on my bill and I didn't see it written anywhere on the website nor print out menu. I'm not at all complaining about the to go fee, however it would be nice to know and to have consistency.
Overall, it was a great stay and experience and will consider of going back.

"We are in love with this property! It was a relaxing, fishing weekend with the family and we all had such a great time. We took our dog, and it was set up to be very pet friendly. She had a doggy door that went outside and a fenced in area, super convenient! The property is so clean, so open and airy, amazing lake views. We loved the beachy vibe and the attention to detail. The kitchen was a dream, we were able to fix all of our meals there. There was everything we needed and more! The use of the paddleboat and kayaks to go explore were an extra bonus. We caught so many fish right off the dock. The whole process was easy, my questions answered very quickly by Brenda. They have done an AMAZING job updating this property, we would go back and 100% recommend! "
