The location was great! It was within walking distance of Harpers Ferry and many establishments. The room was beautiful and the added touch of coffee and breakfast items made us feel at home. We would definitely recommend staying here!
We could walk everywhere from this spot, and it was clean, comfortable and easy to find/check in and out, with great communication from the owners. I highly recommend this spot if you’re heading to Harper’s Ferry soon!
Lovely guest house in the gorgeous Harper's Ferry. Very comfortable suite, stylish, clean and cosy. Easy walking distance to town and trailheads for those with moderate fitness
Spent 2 nights and it was easy to access, owners were very communicative, decor was great in the room, and location was excellent to Harper’s Ferry, Bolivar, and Charles Town.
We had a wonderful time staying in the Bluebird Suite. The house had off road parking and was an easy 10 minute walk into the main part of town. The room was very clean and the snacks were a nice touch. We would stay again if we ever visit again!
Loved this property. The house is on a quiet street and within walking distance to many attractions. The Bluebird room had a comfortable bed and awesome linens. The breakfast items and coffee maker were a nice touch. I would certainly stay here again.
So glad that I picked the Harpers Ferry Guest House(Bluebird Room). The room was very inviting, clean and comfortable. Also it was so nice that we were provided with snacks and drinks if needed. We were close to town and all the places we planned to visit in Harpers Ferry. Ill be sure to tell my friends if they plan a trip be sure to stay here. They wont be disappointed. Thanks Cathy for a great stay.
Our hopes of seeing Harpers Ferry, hiking the surrounding trails and having comfortable accommodations were all fulfilled.
The snacks and goodies in the frig was a nice touch!
Thanks
This place was beautiful 😍 the room was perfect, very clean , super quiet town . Local bars and brewing companies are open kinda late . Everything else close around about 6-7 . Keep that in mind . We had a late check in but the owners and his brother i believe helped us park the car and get situated. Thank you for a wonderful stay and at a very affordable price.
This my first time staying in town, after having visited many times. This is a wonderful spot for a weekend getaway. The room was so clean, and inviting. Very comfortable, quiet, and welcoming. We felt like the only people there. We recommend the Rabbit Hole in the lower town, and The Barn in the upper town, just a short walk from the Guest House. Both have a wonderful atmosphere, and delicious drinks. Cathy and Bryan were great hosts! We highly recommend the Guest House, and we will be returning soon.
This was the cutest Inn and we loved our room(Bluebird)! The decor was adorable the room was clean and spacious for a couple to spend quality time in together!! Two things I’d recommend to the owners is to put in an iron with an ironing board and a comfier mattress! It wasn’t horrible the mattress but it definitely would win more people over if a bit more comfortable! Other than that it was our perfect little getaway
Harpers Ferry is a beautiful historic small town with lots to do and explore ! The Inn is very close to everything the town has to offer from wineries, breweries, restaurants, national parks, adventures on the river, hiking and shopping. You won’t be disappointed
My husband and I checked in to the Harpers Ferry Guest House and were so pleased with our choice to stay there. The hosts were communicative from the moment we booked and kept us up to date along the way. They responded quickly with any question we may have had. Once we checked in, we found the room so warm and welcoming. We stayed in the Blue Bird suite and loved it. There were plenty of drawers to use so that we could unpack, the room was clean and beautifully decorated. After hiking all day, the shower was large, hot, and had great water pressure, which was truly appreciated. Although it is at the top of a hill, it was easy to walk into town to the hiking trails, the historic part of the town, and restaurants. We would highly recommend to others!
We recently stayed in the Bluebird Suite at the Guest House in Harper's Ferry. The location was just a short walk to all the historic attractions in town. It was a bit of a steep climb uphill on way back but definitely doable. The suite was very nice & they even had breakfast items, such as : cereal, bars, OJ, milk & coffee. The room was very clean. My only criticism would be attention to detail. The lamps on bedside tables were dusty, there was a chip crumb under one of the chairs and white spots on walls & door of bathroom which appeared to be toothpaste. I am particular about cleanliness but aside from those small things, the room was very clean. We would definitely recommend!
We arrived mid evening after walking to some of the local historic attractions, hiking the Virginius Island trail, Jefferson Rock trail, and Harper's Cemetary trail, and enjoying a tasty dinner in town (Rabbit Hole). The check in process was so easy and the room exactly as described...spacious, beautiful, and comfortable...just what we needed.
The breakfast snacks were a perfect quick bite the next morning before heading out on the C and O trail for a gorgeous hike. We would stay here again, and highly recommend this for anyone else. The house is also a 4 minute walk from a delightful bakery for your morning carb needs! We did drive back and forth to the lower HP historic section/trails to save our walking for the trails, just make sure you have money to donate to the National Park for parking downtown...or a National Park pass! Highly recommended.

Harpers Ferry Retreat
I stayed at the Harpers Ferry Guest House for two nights on a solo retreat while my husband was out of town. The hosts offered me a third night for half-fee because it was available. I thought that was a good idea, and took them up on it, however, I had to leave a day early because I got sick on what I suspected was bad Chinese carry-out.
The Guest House was very convenient and clean. I never met the hosts except through email because the registration process and check-in were both electronic, which was slightly confusing. I learned through other reviews that the guest house did not serve breakfast, but made cereal, juice and milk available at no additional cost. There was also a lovely bakery a few blocks away.
It would have been helpful if the Webpage noted that all of the guest rooms were on the second floor and that there was no elevator or help with luggage. This made the stay difficult for me since I am 73-years old and have balance issues. Also, everything in Harpers Ferry seems to be up hill!
There is lots of history, cute shops, and nice restaurants, which I enjoyed. While my room was lovely and the location was great, I would not stay there again due to the stairs.
I prefer a traditional B&B where I can know the hosts personally and have a delicious, hot breakfast with other guests. There are other options in Harpers Ferry that I will choose on a return visit.
