"We stayed for 2 days. Brought steaks and other goodies to grill. We enjoyed the view from the deck. We refilled the hummingbird feeder and enjoyed the many visitors. We've never heard a hummingbird chirp! It was a nice quiet getaway to reset and recharge. We'll be back next time we want a quiet getaway."

The house was immaculate and it is equipped with everything you would have in your home. Joanne and her family are wonderful hosts. "Had a great stay with my wife and 4 kids. Fishing was awesome with several catfish caught over 24" and some bass and bluegill. The swimming dock was a great place to hang out and enjoy the water. The golf cart is a nice addition for those trips around the lake when you don't feel like walking. We enjoyed smores by the firepit every night and sitting in the screened patio listening to the nighttime wildlife. Will stay here again!"

"We had a guys weekend away that included grilling out, playing games, and hanging out. There were a large group of us and the house fit our needs perfectly while giving us an atmosphere that we could relax in and enjoy the natural beauty of Rough River. "Very welcoming interior, two balconies for outside fun with a hot tub that worked on the lower balcony. Wish we would have had more bird seed to refill the feeder though. Loved the four separate bedrooms with individual bathrooms. very nice long table with 10? chairs for meals, crafts, and visiting. Walkable to the river for driftwood fun. Take binoculars. Glad I had a pair for the giraffe. Downstairs is difficult to access for handicapped guests with a metal spiral staircase or wooden outside...

"We had a very nice stay and the owners were very kind. The place was clean and comfortable. There was an issue with the laundry machine not working but the owners came out and replaced it with a new one immediately so we could enjoy the rest of our stay. The bonus game room was a hit for the whole family and we all had a great time overall. Definitely recommend!"

"The house was very clean, the beds were very comftorable. There were 9 of us and it never felt crowded. The view was great. The screened in porch was nice. "Very welcoming interior, two balconies for outside fun with a hot tub that worked on the lower balcony. Wish we would have had more bird seed to refill the feeder though. Loved the four separate bedrooms with individual bathrooms. very nice long table with 10? chairs for meals, crafts, and visiting. Walkable to the river for driftwood fun. Take binoculars. Glad I had a pair for the giraffe. Downstairs is difficult to access for handicapped guests with a metal spiral staircase or wooden outside steps however, easy entry and roll-in shower is available in one bathroom. Cell service not great (go to the top of the hill for reception) which turned out to be important due to a family emergency with delayed notification. It did turn out okay thankfully but really make sure to give an emergency number (owner's) just in case. We had fun and enjoyed the house amenities."
