"Were surprised to no immediate access to beach. The house itself was very nice, but, as seniors with mobility problems, the upstairs shower was a minor inconvenience. I contacted Joe a couple of times and his response was immediate. But, overall, I would stay again. Plenty of nearby golf courses, but fishing was a bust."

"It’s a great hotel in the perfect location for a great price! We didn’t use the pool or eat breakfast but both looked very nice. The only complaint I have is that the air conditioning unit was loud but I feel like that’s a common problem in most hotels. All in all, a great little place to stay. I’ll be back!"

"The house is spacious and very nicely decorated in mid century style. Plenty of seating with two separate conversation areas. Kitchen is large and fully equipped with microwave, Kuerig coffee maker (and pods), Dishwasher and range/oven. Comfy beds and pillows. Laundry room. Two nice decks. Close to town and our stay was very enjoyable here."

"Great location! Close to beach! There are bikes and Kayaks in garage to use! House is very nice overall. We loved the pool table, grill and patio area and the fire pit! Steps are step to the bedrooms upstairs and also two steep ones to the game room area. Have just a few issues with housekeeping that I will DM the owner about, nothing major. Bring your own body wash & shampoo there was nothing supplied. Also the upstairs shower is for people 5’5” or under. The downstairs shower was fine for taller people! Overall a good place to stay on Michigans “thumb coast”"

Peaceful Getaway with 100 Feet of Private Beachfront Access on Lake Huron

"Our family really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The real star of the show was most definitely the beautiful beach right out the front door! The gentle waves, gorgeous view, and playing on the beach with our kids was truly awesome. George was a gracious host and was great to communicate with. He was even kind enough to leave us some firewood, which we used to make s’mores a couple nights on the beach. The inside of the place was very clean. If you’re looking for a fancy place, this might not be your cup of tea. We enjoy these sorts of places! George has provided some gentle maintenance, but in fairness there are some areas that could use some TLC (nothing that caused us any serious issues). A few minor things to be aware of when booking: The beach is NOT like most public beaches that have cleared all the trees etc. So, there are bugs. You’re on the water, so that should be expected! George left bug spray which we used. I think the owner has tried to maximize how many people can sleep here. That said, there’s a very large amount of furniture in this cabin. Probably too much. We typically like to hang up our clothes, but the downstairs BR had a bunk and full size bed that blocked the only accessible closet. Living room is packed with couches. Last, if you have any light-sleepers in your group the road can be noisy when sleeping (Particularly when semis or dumps go by). Luckily not a very busy road. Just something to be aware of. We certainly enjoyed our stay!"
