"The Archer Hotel is a wonderful boutique hotel in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. From the moment we pulled up to the curb, the valet welcomed us and helped us with our bags. Our double queen room was clean and the beds were luxurious and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and included nice lotions, soaps and hair products along with nice touches such as slippers, robes, and a golf umbrella. There were free water bottles and caramels or chocolate treats provided daily. The room included a safe and microwave, though we didn’t use them. The lobby had coffee and tea in the morning and delicious infused water all day. The Archer has a lovely courtyard and a wonderful restaurant for breakfast and lunch right next door called Homegrown. It was so nice to stay somewhere out of the ordinary chain hotels I frequent. I highly recommend the Archer for a wonderful stay in Alexandria."

"Love the location of the hotel and love the staff. The staff are very helpful and pleasant. There were many good restaurants available for dinner. The hotel breakfasts included with your room were EXCELLENT! We spent 4 days exploring Washington DC. The staff told us about the SW shuttle with a stop at the L'Enfant metro station; spy museum, air and space museum, and the zoo."

"The staff was the friendliest I've ever encountered in any hotel. The valet service for my car was prompt and friendly. The room was modern and comfortable. The bathroom felt like home. Overall, the hotel is quiet, visually stunning, and comfortable. My only quibble was with the restaurant or I had breakfast. The server got my order wrong and the food was somewhat cold. That can be remedied."
