Lake Forest Lodge has a breathtaking view of Keuka Lake and is nestled on 3.5 acres of pines and hardwoods. This property has the best of both worlds as it also has lake frontage. The cabin has 3 levels: the main floor has a great room with gas fireplace, cozy eat-in kitchen, and spacious dining room that seats 10 comfortably. These rooms face the lake and boast an amazing view of Keuka Lake. Also located on the main level are 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. The lower level includes a sitting area with full size sleeper sofa, a bedroom, a full bath, spare fridge and washer and dryer. The third floor open loft has a charming log-framed bed. There are several large decks for relaxation and gathering for meals with family and friends in a private setting. LFL is located on the hillside across the road from the lake, which provides secluded and peaceful surroundings. Note: The lake frontage is accessed by walking or driving down our 'steep' driveway, crossing the road and continuing down the common/steep driveway where we have available 2 parking spaces. Approximately 50 stairs will lead you to the scenic deck and private dock.

Other Activities Around the Area: Enjoy a variety of restaurants on and around the lake or in the charming Village of Hammondsport. Experience the Finger Lake's finest wines along the renowned Keuka Wine Trail. Stroll along the waterfront and square of Hammondsport while enjoying ice cream. Browse through the antique and gift shops. Take a ride to The Windmill Farm & Craft Market or visit the Indian Pines Farmer's Market for homemade pies, pastries, jellies, fruits and veggies. Watkins Glen Raceway and State Park are approximately 30 minutes away. Take the kids go-cart racing, hiking or biking on the local trails. Watercraft rentals are available at the local marinas.

Perfect girls getaway

My friends and I had a lovely time at this cabin. The dock was great to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. The house is big enough for everyone to have their own space.

Awesome Place!

We had a great time enjoying our yearly family get together here. This cabin is huge and has a ton of charm and character. Keuka lake is beautiful as always. Brian was diligent and provided all the info we needed to make our stay memorable. We highly recommend staying here.

Great View of Keuka Lake

House was in great condition. Well kept with enough towels. We enjoyed the great view of the lake. The highlight was on the first morning we woke up to a young bear walking the front of the cabin!

Great Location!

Our family had a great time celebrating our mom’s 70th Birthday! We enjoyed hiking, fishing, golfing, kayaking, and swimming. We especially loved the spacious deck, where we had family corn hole tournaments. We also visited some wineries and breweries.

Great location and beautiful home

The location is wonderful, close to tons of things to do. The views were very nice from the front deck. Fishing and swimming from the dock was quite enjoyable, though the trek between the house and dock is quite significant in elevation. The house had everything you'd expect, including nice modern appliances and comfortable furniture, and even a record-player and records for enjoyment.

Long Weekend Getaway

Our family looks forward to our yearly trip to the finger lakes to enjoy the great wine, food and beautiful views. This year was different as we have never stayed on Kueka before. We absolutely loved our stay and it more than met our expectations. The log cabin provided lots of space to spend time and enjoy family when we weren't out and about. We will likely be back again the next time we stay on Keuka!

Great for a group!

We had a great time staying at the Property! Plenty of room for two families, and easily 3 small ones. Spacious rooms, amazing views, and lots of local stuff to do. We enjoyed going to the wineries, seeing the waterfalls at Letchworth State Park (about 70 minutes away), visiting the Bath Fish Hatchery (great for the kids), fishing from the dock, and renting a boat for the day from Keuka Watersports (south end of the lake). Overall a great place that can accommodate large groups to help keep the individual costs to a minimum.

Super convenient

The lodge was spacious and as advertised. Brian was very helpful as a host and made sure all in readiness. It is very convenient to not only Hammondsport but also to other lakes and Watkins Glen too. The creek rushing beside the house was a great sleeping companion!

Family Vacation

House has great gathering areas for family. Kitchen was well equipped. The lake is beautiful and very clean. However, the house only has two actual bedrooms. (Main level and one in the basement.) The main level has one BIG bedroom (king bed) and one small bedroom with a full size bed, is just larger then a closet with a bi-fold door and not much privacy. The loft space above the main level never gets cool and the basement bedroom is small, always cold, and the bed was broken and very wobbly. The large deck was great for family but it was pretty dirty. There is very little outdoor lighting on the main deck and none on the side deck. The driveway has some outdoor lights but we could not find the switch all week. The gas grill was filthy and took a lot of scraping to be able to use it. The burners barely lit due to all the debris clogging the holes. Lake access is not fun. The house driveway is gravel and VERY steep and winding. There is another steep driveway across the street and then the stairs. Parking a car down by the stairs is very difficult. We didn't bother. Dock has screws sticking up and the kayaks were dirty.

Amazing

We recently booked this for a "guys weekend". The house was absolutely amazing. The pictures do not really do it justice. We spent most of the time on the HUGE deck outside where the view of the lake was spectacular. The house was very spacious and the location to the lake and Winerys/breweries was great. I would highly recommend!

Awesome cabin, incredible view

I went to this cabin with a group of friends, and we couldn't stop smiling the whole time. From the views on the hill to sitting on the dock at night, our host ensured that the house was ready to entertain. The beds were comfortable, there were a lot of different seating arrangements both inside and out, and we were eager each evening to get back from our wine travels and really just enjoy our time at the house. I look forward to returning in the future!

Fabulous Find!!!

Simply put, fabulous place and a fabulous stay!! Pictures do not do this place justice. The huge deck is to die for, and inside is rustic, clean, very comfortable and very well stocked with every possible creature comfort. A babbling brook cloaks the side (visible from 3 bedrooms) and the front view is the lake. The hosts have put a lot of thought into the amenities and are very attentive to any questions. It is also located close to a number of wineries and breweries, as well as an excellent restaurant 11 minutes away. We hated to leave....
