Foxgloves is an excellent B&B in a fully restored villa with matching furniture and decoration. Hosts Grace and Patrick will do everything to make your stay great, to start with serving generous and delicious breakfast (and dinner if you want as well). The B&B lies isolated in a beautiful area, the perfect place to relax without mobile phone coverage (wifi is available). Raglan is only a 30 min drive away. We will come back!
We were really impressed with the house & our room, feel like we had a chance to live in the Victorian era. Love all the decors, the hosts have put a lot of thoughts into it. Grace is so kind & lovely, we booked our dinner at Foxgloves & we didn't regret it at all. No checkout time, you can stay late even until 12 noon. We had a romantic dinner served with wine & a huge dessert, with candles around. Everything provided is organic & so fresh, even the breakfast, espcially very yummy too.
If you want somewhere to really get away to, peace and absolute quiet in a rural setting, this is your place. Traditional & quirky, we were blown away by the setting and Grace has everything set out perfectly. We really couldn't compare it to anywhere else we know of in the North Island. Awesome breakfast - almost too much food for us! Highly recommend to anyone just wanting to get away and relax!
Facilities: Outstanding; Value: A steal; Service: Outstanding;
We were looking for a relaxing time in a stunning place and that is exactly what we got. Excellent hosts,and a lovely old house. Recommended.
We stayed the last night of a six week trip and felt very pampered. We had dinner and breakfast. The setting was lovely, the hosts were very friendly and kind, and the food was delicious. It was the highest value for the cost of anyplace we stayed in New Zealand. HIghly recommend for anyone who wants a quiet place to relax in a country setting.
A wonderful experience stepping back in time where quality and excellent service went hand in hand. Delightfully decorated rooms that show the passion the owners have in ensuring that everyone has a most memorable stay and capped off with a hearty breakfast with home grown produce. The dinner, at extra cost, was well worth the $35. Would recommend this B&B to anyone who has an eye for quality, excellent value and a chance to share the evening with others around an old world dinner table being treated like royality.
My husband and i have never stayed at a b & b before so we were a bit sceptical but from the moment we arrived we felt very comfortable. The hosts Cheryl & Tony are delightful, intelligent and fantastic cooks. They went out of there way in everything. Even brought water to us whilst we were having a lovely outdoor spa watching the moon rise over the hills. We would recommend this to everyone. Cannot speak highly enough of our 2 night stay.
A very pleasant stay in a beautiful and classic B & B. The owners were lovely and provided a very enjoyable and filling breakfast. The gardens and surrounding countryside was gorgeous.
Wow! From the moment we arrived, nothing was too much trouble for these lovely people. The ambience of the place is amazing. The house is warm, beautifully restored and presented with period furniture and lots of knick knacks combined with all modern comforts. The food was delightful and the spa a welcome end to the day. I cannot speak highly enough of Foxgloves. It is a little out of the way and can be difficult to find, but the find is absolutely worth it. The price is extremely reasonable. In the past we have stayed in a lot less and paid a lot more. A treasure of a B & B. If you are looking for a relaxed country cottage experience surrounded by bird song, this is a definite must.
un séjour formidable mais trop court ,un site fabuleux ,des gens très gentil et chaleureux malgré la barrière de la langue mais faisant beaucoup d'effort,nous allons renouveler un séjour un peut plus long en fin d'année Christian et Jocelyne
Absolutely fantastic. The only problem was that Tom Tom has their location 1.5 km north. I have advised Tom Tom and I presume it will be corrected in the near future.
Foxgloves B & B - great getaway away from the city
Fantastic place, we would recommend this b & b to anyone wanting a lovely relaxing night away. Beautiful surroundings and great hosts. We will definately be back!
If you can, stay here. Though a bit out of the way it is worth the trip. Fabulous location, beautiful old farm house and amazing hosts. Stay here while in this part of New Zealand.
