I had a queen size bed, accessible room booked and paid for before arriving. At check in they asked if I could change to a smaller bed and leave the accessible room available for someone else who needs it.. This is a classic case of the person checking us in not thinking we actually need the accessible room. After being in a car accident a year ago and my other half actually having a handicap pass. Just because we can walk doesn’t mean that there isn’t issues and some people should not assume. We did end up getting the accessible room in the end but it’s ridiculous that we had to explain why we couldn’t downgrade the room we already had paid for.. Also, our door didn’t lock unless inside the room. If the deadbolt wasn’t locked anyone could just open the door and walk in. We were in the room most of the time but we couldn’t go for breakfast together, we had to take turns and it wasn’t worth having them fix it when we were leaving soon anyway. I don't like to complain but some things are just ridiculous
