A friend said the Scandic Breakfast was next level and it was pretty good not amazing and definitely not worth the price. (we got a better breakfast inclusive at a different hotel in Hamburg). Anyhow the hotel was super convenient and we needed something easy which it was. The after hours shop was very disappointing given there is nothing in there area open after hours. No gluten free snacks after hours which is annoying as the breakfast bar had them. The room was good BUT needs something on the floors for all the dust / sand. maybe floor mats? tbh we didn’t have the room made up while we were there so maybe that’s the issue. it is nice and central and close to good techno clubs at Gängeviertel.

The room was superb but the exceptional benefit was the use of the Living Room for breakfast and and relaxation with hot and cold drinks during the day and evening.

We like the staff in the bar, very helpful & friendly, Vadim N. & Nina B., you made us feel welcome & made great Cosmos, I will miss them!! The front desk staff were also great & even the cleaning staff was friendly. Our best breakfast on our trip so far!! I'd return to this hotel!

not better than a 3 star hotel
The 2 ladies at check in were very helpful. However, there is no free coffee machine in the lobby (water, soft drink +-snacks are for sale) and a male cleaning staff was rather stressed as if he is running late when I asked for towel change. Buffet breakfast was good though.

Delight in every way
The complete hotel experience was superb. The staff are the most welcoming, pleasant, effective, efficient, and accommodating as we have experienced in much travel. The hotel itself has a modern Scandinavian look and feel--clean lines, no clutter, open space. Our room had a beautiful floor to ceiling view over old Hamburg buildings, while being totally private. The location near the Hamburg Opera House was perfect, and the hotel is very close to the subway entrance. There are lots of places to eat, to grab a sandwich, have breakfast.

Rooms are average, hotel and location great!
The room was a 2-3 star but the hotel itself was nice in the common areas. A single bed is preferred over two twin beds. The room didn’t have places to store away your clothes or hygiene items, one piece of artwork, no coffee maker (only hot water). The shower door opened outward making everything wet. The breakfast was really good and the cook even made a delicious Omlette. The area is very convenient and easy to get to the main station.

What was there not to like! The gym was great, the rooms were spacious and very modern! The hotel is water themed which I thought was a great touch! It is also very eco friendly hotel which makes it in my eyes a leader in the market!

Great hotel, fantastic staff. Just a couple of issues - no storage for clothes, so had to live out of a suitcase. Also, cost for breakfast was extortionate, which was off putting. However, beautiful and comfy hotel, amazing staff, great rooms and the location is perfect.
