A perfect stay

Very nice hotel, atmospheric entrance and reception area. Rooms were large and airy, with lovely bathrooms. Everything seemed really well maintained. The restaurant was excellent, with a lovely quiet outdoor area. Food was excellent both at dinner and breakfast. A special mention to the very lovely restaurant staff.

Our stay would’ve been amazing, but we were “upgraded” to the top floor during a heat wave. Shouldn’t have been a problem since the hotel advertised air conditioning. Unfortunately, it didn’t work, and they only had a few fans for guests. Lovely room, but we rarely slept since the temperature stayed over 85 degrees at night.

I am a former resident of Hamburg, so this is pretty much home for me. Service was pretty accommodating and got us in the room in no time. The rolling stairs were out of service for most of the duration of our stay and the bath towels are pretty old. Other than that, excellent service, cleanliness is good and still my favorite place to stay.

Our room was dirty, and appeared to have just cganged the bed sheets. I was very disappointed as I have stayed here before and believe that the standards have dropped in this regard. Dust everywhere, mould in the shower and dirt on the wooden furniture. Breakfast was fantastic, a variety of food options.

Very interesting and different hotel (in a good way). The price is much less than the inner city hotels but with an S-bahn stop just outside the door, it is easy and fast to reach most areas of Hamburg in minutes.
