A lovely gem of a place and town. Charming, clean and safe area, just lively enough with eateries and shopping. Safe for quiet strolls at night. Locals were friendly and welcoming. And the property itself was immaculately, clean fresh and beautifully styled. Perfect little convenience touches like Nespresso in the lobby and rooms and laundry room available for travelers. We enjoyed the town so much we chose to spend more time here than in Salzburg and wish we had planned more days here! We would definitely return.

We loved our stay at Salt! The room was large and the beds were comfortable. The bus pass for local transportation was appreciated. The ability to leave our luggage after checkout was much appreciated. Finally, the free washer and dryer was a unexpected surprise. I would recommend Salt Townhouse to anyone traveling to this Austria location.

Clean, spacious apartment with comfortable beds, pillows, and linens. Small kitchenette is well appointed for limited food prep. Lovely lobby area for relaxing with the convenience of an adjoining cafe. The town of Hallein is quaint and walkable with modern shopping nearby. Bus transport to Salzburg center is easy and convenient.

We as a family of 4 were perfectly satisfied and enjoyed our stay. Perfect location away from the madness of Salzburg proper. Check in was a breeze. Check out was a breeze. Just follow the instructions. The only issue was parking. No real info so I figured it out myself. Around the corner is a garage. €10 per day, but if you to the garage office you can get a discount for multiple days. We would definitely stay here again

The stay has a great ambiance, it is very clean. The check in was user friendly, there is a parking garage about 150m from the stay. The location was perfect for a family of 4 to safely explore, eat good local food and get a beautiful scenery. Awesome experience!

Delightful property that has been fitted and finished with care and consideration. A gorgeous “hotel”! Bed was large and comfortable, bathroom was spacious and well organized. Would stay again without hesitation. Note: Don’t be like us and get distracted by the salt residences — there was confusion on our part when we unloaded our bags from the car at the wrong address down the street.

There is no front desk at this hotel, and more importantly, no cleaning service—something that was never disclosed anywhere before or during booking. Because of this, our family used all four towels on the first night, assuming housekeeping would refresh them the next day. When no one came, I contacted the hotel through WhatsApp to ask where I could get clean towels. They did not respond that day. The next morning, I finally received this message: “Our housekeeping team will bring you fresh towels today. Please note, that we would charge 15EUR per guest for it. Please give us a short confirmation.” In other words, they wanted 60 EUR for four towels. Charging 60 EUR just to replace four used towels is unreasonable and unacceptable under any circumstance. I didn’t need any other service, but I can only imagine what they might charge for anything else. Future guests deserve to know this before booking.

The Salt is an amazing property, so clean, wuiet and peaceful. The comfortable double room we had was superb with plenty of space and a great walk in shower. Downstairs in the note communal area there was an attached cafe and a fabulous lounge area with coffee machine and kettle. Outside, Hallein is a fabulous old town with a great selection of dining options. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Gorgeous property, spacious rooms, extremely comfy beds! We loved the location, but know if you arrive on a Sunday, nothing is open except gelato and pizza, but parking is free on Sundays, so that is nice. Great bonus we werent aware of when booking is Tennengau card with discounts to attractions and free use of public transport. Perfect for our family of 4!!
