We came here for our honeymoon and the staff was incredible and very welcoming! The room was always cleaned, laundry was always done well and daily, staff was incredible, and overall the resort was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we found the Cinnamon representatives at Malé airport to take us to our seaplane, we didn't have to think for ourselves for the remainder of one of the most relaxing weeks ever. The staff at the resort were incredibly welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. The buffet food was varied and plentiful; every meal also had at least one station with a chef to make you, depending on the mealtime, custom eggs, pasta dishes, stirfys, plus a special station that would change daily, from burgers to pizza to tacos, curries, fresh catches, bbq'd meats, etc. We enjoyed the adults only aspect and appreciated the peaceful atmosphere all over the resort. Even the architecture was calming; the overwater villas with their white sail rooves and the sweeping pathways across the reef all felt so natural with the white sand and palms and added a tremendous feeling of peace. The other resorts we saw from the seaplane just didn't look quite as good! Our overwater villa was just as fantastic as the pictures advertising it. We spent several hours on our private deck, lazing in the floor hammock, tanning on the loungers or just sitting on the edge, watching the marine life in the shallows from above. On one of the days, we went on one of the free excursions to go snorkelling in deeper waters; special thanks and admiration to the captain of the boat, who dove to the bottom of the reef to retrieve a snorkel mask one of us had dropped. Must have been at least 6 meters. A true hero.

Heaven in the middle of the ocean

Honestly, it was close to perfection.From the welcoming till our departure, all the staff were here for us. Special thanks to the airport desk agent and Cinnamon management who arranged one stay for us in the closest resort because we missed the last seaplane. All the Hakuraa Huraa staff were kind. Our sea bungalow was always clean. Buffets were good. Nothing to say except thank you for this experience and we will come again outside of the raining period.

I'm going to give all Hotels.com properties minimum scores now, simply because of the appalling changes to the one-key benefits. Everyone else should do the same. Once the review scores start dropping and the hotels look less appealing then people will start booking through other sites then Hotels.com will have to review their system. Pre-one-key, I stayed one night in a hotel in Manchester, payed £200+ and earned £20. Now with one-key, I spent £1400 at this hotel in the Maldives and got £25 in rewards. Do the maths

I can only say good things about the staff. Everyone we've met on the island was friendly, smiled at us and made us feel welcome.It was clear that they put a lot of effort into ensuring our stay was as relaxed as possible. Any issues we've had were quickly resolved, but three staff members stood out in particular: Shifaz, our “Waiter of the Week,” was consistently friendly, engaging and made every meal enjoyable. We looked forward to every meal because we had such great conversations with him and he really made a lasting impression. He truly cares about the guests’ well-being and you can’t help but like him. Wilma and Dian also deserve special mention as they were both incredibly friendly, chatty and also contributed significantly to our positive experience. Aside from the excellent staff, the food was fantastic, with a wide variety and daily changing dishes, including a live cooking station for extra variety. The accommodation in a water bungalow was perfect, with direct sea access for snorkeling and a beautiful terrace offering amazing views to relax. Communication with the resort was initially slow (via E-Mail) due to issues with our return flight, but once on-site, the staff was very helpful and resolved everything quickly. The speedboat journey took 2,5-3 hrs, which was long and exhausting, so next time we’d opt for the seaplane, which only takes 45-60 mins. We will definitely be back to relive this incredible getaway and I can only recommend this beautiful resort!

This property is amazing! The overwater villas are huge, exceptionally clean (I am very fussy and hard to please when it comes to this) and the staff are just wonderful. We got to see sharks, sting rays and puffer fish swim right underneath in/around our villa. Improvements wise, I think they’re missing a trick by not putting on yoga classes etc. and the gym definitely needs some fans on top of the aircon as it was stifling at times. They also don’t cater well for people with allergies, i.e. don’t have alternative milks or yoghurts and I have a dairy allergy which they were aware of prior to arrival. Other than that we loved it!

Beautiful property! The resort was easy to communicate with regarding the seaplane and the whole transfer was easy and smooth. As soon as we landed we were in awe of the resort! We were greeted with drums, handmade necklaces and refreshing juice. The food was delicious, we had the all inclusive package. We were pleasantly surprised, during breakfast there is an egg and waffle/crepe/pancake station. During lunch one day there was a delicious pasta station. There is a variety of food options as well as local cuisine. Overall the chefs are amazing! The beach, pool, staff, grounds and rooms are beautiful! We stayed in an overwater bungalow and the only thing I will say is that the waves at night were a little loud for me, if this is a concern for you maybe opt of a beach bungalow. However, my husband loved the sounds of the waves at night. The ocean water changes shades of blue throughout the day, it was wonderful to witness. Amazing experience, this is a vacation we will never forget!!!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Cinnamon Hakuraa Huraa Resort. Die Insel ist ein absoluter Traum: weißer Sandstrand, kristallklares türkisblaues Wasser – genau so, wie man sich die Malediven vorstellt. Unser Wasserbungalow war einfach perfekt – modern, sauber und mit direktem Zugang zur Lagune. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit, immer mit einem Lächeln auf den Lippen. Auch kulinarisch wurden wir nicht enttäuscht: Das Essen war lecker, abwechslungsreich und vor allem auch für Vegetarier und Veganer geeignet – was nicht überall selbstverständlich ist. Ein paar Kleinigkeiten haben unseren Eindruck jedoch etwas getrübt: • Am Poolbereich gab es keinerlei Musik oder Atmosphäre, was es leider schnell eintönig wirken ließ – ein bisschen Lounge-Musik hätte hier viel bewirkt. • Das WLAN war sehr instabil – für gelegentliche Nachrichten okay, aber zum Arbeiten oder Streamen kaum nutzbar. • Und die Preise für alles, was nicht im All-Inclusive enthalten ist, waren überzogen hoch – ob Ausflüge z. B.: Schnorchelsafari 1 Std. für 86 USD pro Person. Schnuppertauchen (ohne Lizenz max. 12 m) 1 Std. für 240 USD. Strand-Dinner für 480 USD pro Paar. Ich weiß, man ist auf den Malediven und die Preise sind bestimmt auch in anderen Resorts gleich, aber irgendwo muss man auch mal sagen, es reicht. Aber man muss ja nichts davon machen. Trotzdem bleibt unser Fazit: Ein traumhaftes Resort mit sehr hohem Wohlfühlfaktor –wir würden wiederkommen.
