"A really lovely, tranquil spot for a break."

"Beautiful little hut perfect for a relaxing stay, very friendly and helpful owners and ground keepers.Lots to do in area and very close to the beach and shops."

"We stayed for three nights at the end of August and had a wonderful time. The barn is a delight. Clean, well equipped and nicely laid out. The owners are pleasant, flexible and helpful. No negatives for us. Plenty to do nearby and we’d happily recommend and stay again ourselves."

"We had a ln absolutely lovely weekend away, so peaceful and the hut was very cosy and welcoming, would definitely return."

"Lovely quiet place for a short break. Local pub is very friendly and location is not too far from places to visit by car. Glamping Pods very clean as well as toilet block and also well equipped. No issues and really liked that on the day of departure the owner came to say goodbye and ask how our stay was."

"All very good. However too many disabled parking spaces meaning too few for others"

"If you want to get away from it all & enjoy the peace of the Sussex countryside the Cart Lodge is perfect. Great little cottage, which is well equipped & in a good location to explore East Sussex. The sheep in the field are great fun, demanding their biscuits as you sit & enjoy the sun. Thanks Nina for a great week"

"Very welcoming and well thought out accommodation. Would definitely stay again "

"Thank you for the most wonderful 4 night stay. Such a beautifully presented cottage in a great location. We explored Lewes, Birling Gap and took a train to Brighton for the day. The cottage served as the perfect retreat at the end of a winter's day. We look forward to returning in the future."

"I had a really amazing time when I stayed at this property and was pleasantly surprised with everything that it had to offer. Both my partner and I had a wonderful, cosy experience and believe it was an absolute bargain for everything that you get! 10/10 :)"

"My husband and I enjoyed a week in Mill Barn in early June. Unfortunately the weather didn't want to play along so we couldn't enjoy the beautiful garden as much as I had hoped, but that was no loss - the cottage is adorable inside too and it's perfect for cozy cocooning when it's rainy. We enjoyed the smart TV, bath and wonderful shower, as well as the well equipped kitchen. There are plenty of fun day trips in the area and Penny was incredibly kind and helpful during our stay. I would book...

"Had a great time, thank you very much ! Would definitely stay again! Good location, easy to get into Rye and surounds."

"If you love a peaceful country retreat then this is for you. Wildlife all around. The owner could not be more helpful. Peacocks at the back door herds of dear and flocks of amazing rheas much better than advertised. You do need a car with good clearance for the track through the forest but it's worth it as it all ads to the amazing adventure. Thank you once again to our host Martin who meets guests at the gate to lead you through the forest."

"We loved the cottage and the serene location, and we appreciated the kindness of our friendly hosts!"
