This is our third year staying at the Plantation and it is our “go to” now. We like the quieter Fort Morgan beach yet are still close enough to civilization. Out of the choices this year, we picked this property because the photos showed a recliner, which would have been perfect for my husband as he rests best in one following his chemo treatments. We were quite disappointed when we found the recliner had been replaced with a stiffer stationary chair. Other than that, the property was perfect for our needs. The description says it sleeps 8 but it would be very cramped with that many! Probably better for 4 with some breathing room. Two bathrooms were nice! Would stay again.
We had a great time on our little beach weekend getaway. This was a great location, could hear and see the beach/water from the balcony, which was my favorite thing. It wasn't too crowded and easy access to everything.
As we arrived the first day, we pulled up to security checkpoint and realized we had to pay for a parking pass, (which was not specified in the rental) but was not a deal breaker. Bought the pass and checked into our room which was nice, since we had the code number already. That all went smoothly. Looked for the washer/ dryer and realized later that one the first floor they have washer/dryer that u pay to use. Disappointed again with that. Wasn’t clarified in rental. The property is well kept, pools are nice, scenery is great. Other than having to pay for parking and not having a washer/dryer in the room, our trip went well. Pleasant stay but we may rent a house next time.
Overall nice stay, unit clean, and have a view of the beach
Property is nicely kept, decent view of the ocean off the balcony (you can hear the waves too), kids room needs a curtain, beds were uncomfortable. However, the unit looks just like the pictures and was clean besides some of The dishes. We had some trouble figuring out the WiFi but their was a wicker box and it had the correct info in it. You were able to rent chairs and umbrella at the beach $40 day. Limited grocery stores and restaurants nearby, however, lots of choices when you go into the city about 12 mi away. Sassy Pizza was not good. Also, you should visit the Fort Morgan Museum, it was really neat. Overall, we had a nice time just didn’t get the best and most comfortable sleep.
All the amenities were great and everything exactly as described in listening, no surprises.

Vacation time
We enjoyed our stay!
We started out rocky but each day was better!
First the security guard did his job… we weren’t given parking passes so we had to wait…. But we got in touch with someone who was nice enough to talk to the guard and ask if he would let us in and they would bring the pass(they did) nice of them. We had ants 🐜 by the door but got some spray….We took our children to the pool which we were scared out of our wits when two guards came running in with there hands on their guns… my niece was like What?? Do we need to get out… he shook head yes and then followed us not giving any info..,
The hot tub stayed full of teenagers drinking so we’re weren’t able to enjoy….
All in all we still enjoyed our time there on the beach…I can’t say we want be back but it will be discussed because our hubbies felt it was unsafe for us ladies and the children.
Thanks for letting us have first time experiences ❤️
