2023-06-30. Brand new listing by owner. We’ve had our East side up on Vrbo for a while, but I’ve never had the west side of this gorgeous place posted here as she mostly rents herself. :-) So, no, there are no review (yet!) because it is a brand new listing. Big is beautiful! Sea Monster is a “monster” as in BIG, but she's certainly not ugly! Great place, great space! Perfect location!

WThis lovely monstrosity is located directly on the gulf. It is perfect for those larger get togethers: plenty of space to be together but plenty of your own space too!

Sea Monster is a duplex with 8 bedrooms and 7.5 baths on each side! It sleeps up to 26, or 52 if you take both sides. This listing is for the WEST side unit. The East side unit may be available, or you can rent both as Sea Monster East & West (for a whopping 16 bedrooms, sleeping up to 52... just inquire!).

On the main floor of each side of the Sea Monster there is a large living room, dining room and fully equipped kitchen with adjacent half bath. That floor also has a master suite with private bath, including a jetted tub and separate shower. The second level has a bonus room with television and a sleeper sofa and access to a full bath. To the north of the bonus room is a bedroom with a shared bath. Another guest bedroom is located on the south side of the bonus room area with private full bath. There is also a master suite facing the gulf on the second level with a private master bath including a jetted tub and separate shower. This master bedroom also has a deck. Floor three has four guest bedrooms and three baths; one of which is a Hollywood bath shared by two of the bedrooms.

There is available onsite parking for at least 6 cars per side. More if you park under then home and stack carefully. Just share nice with the neighbors! 

WIFI/INTERNET
YES! We have an awesome Eero mesh network to ensure excellent wifi coverage throughout this spacious home. Spotty coverage is always an issue for big places. Sure internet may work next to the router in the living room, but what about the far reaches of the home!? That's why we installed a multi-node mesh network. And what's the internet like? It is generally solid and ran > 100Mb down the last test--sufficient for several simultaneous video conference sessions for remote work and education. Internet is, of course, an amenity and subject to service provider outages (and guests "troubleshooting" it), especially with the havoc the sand and salt wreak on cabling and facilities, no more so than any other home on the beach though, and likely better since its close in and new construction!

SOAPS, TOWELS, COFFEE, ETC ETC
As with most beach homes in the area, the local mgt co provide what they call a "starter supply" of soaps, toilet paper, and paper towels, etc. Enough for the first night to get you going! Please plan to bring or purchase additional supplies, and any cleaning or pantry supplies you may need, or to make a quick run to the store (or have it delivered!). You will want to bring beach towels or beach chairs as well. Because mgt cos will not generally support them, grills are not provided, though they are sometimes inherited from prior guests: your mileage may vary on this, and we usually assess and then go snag a small charcoal kettle when we come down ourselves. Also of note: at many locations, you may find the bunk beds (and certain other beds) are not fully made--instead a bedding pack is provided. This is a common practice for the local management companies, which is both green (if the bedding is not used, it doesn't have to be laundered) AND more sanitary--housekeeping does not have to crawl on the bunks and so on to make the beds. Also also...  all our homes have drip coffee makers and most now have Keurigs as well.
