Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. When you are Paying that much for the week the condo should have been nicer. Dissapppointed in overall value of my dollar. I will book my family vacation at Mexico next year.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our rental experience was hassle-free. Bender agents quickly answered all our questions, including door width for accessibility of my mobility scooter. Although the furniture and countertops have a dated appearance, everything was clean and comfortable. However, the toilets are lower than even standard toilets. The toilet seats are not more than 14 inches from the floor. If toilet night is a problem for you, consider asking for another unit. I visited a different unit during our stage, and the toilets were normal height. Overall this is a fantastic place to stay and very close to the beach!Property description is accurate. The view from the deck is spectacular!

Great corner unit but needs some updates

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our second year staying in 8C. The view is spot on and the only reason for re-booking. The primary bedroom mattress and main sleeping pillows are reallly due for an upgrade. The carpet needs to be replaced as does the chair in the living room. The kitchen glassware and plates are worn and a hodgepodge of random items that could use to be replaced. We didn't cook so can't comment on the remaining kitchen items but the top fridge shelf was broken. Lastly, both toilet seats need to be replaced. Outside - the patio is the selling point of this unit for me. It would be nice if there were a table outside to eat / play games and it's hard to enjoy the stars on the patio at night because of the bright overhead light on the stairs. Would be nice if there was a retractable blind to pull down at night to minimize the light.

4 year family reunion trip

I find it ironic that the title I am looking at as I write this review is "Enjoy the Sunsets on the Porch Glider" because the porch glider was broken and did not even look safe to sit on. Also we had a lot of stuff to take down to the beach every day in our wagon and it was very difficult to pull it through the sand. I feel they should look into getting a boardwalk like the other properties around it.

However this year the security guards were un friendly and we felt like they ruined our normally fun and easy going time. The very first day the guard watched every move we made which made me feel very uneasy. He would just stare and treated us like children. It really dampened our overall experience

We met one of the owner of 8c and he asked how things were going. We told him of a couple of other issues and he got on them immediately. Real stand up guy. The T.V. in the bedroom facing the gulf makes a horrible noise and needs replaced as well, either that or the satellite box.

The carpets were stained and didn’t look like they had even been vacuumed. There was trash under the beds and the dishwasher had stagnant water standing in the bottom of it and when we opened the dishwasher the smell was horrible. The unit was nice but needs some repairs and a really good cleaning.

Condo 8C has been our favorite condo yet and we’ve stayed in six different units. The only two complaints we would have is the couch was the most uncomfortable couch we’ve ever sat on. I’m pretty sure all the springs in the couch are broken. Secondly, the TV in the master bedroom didn’t seem to work half the time and made a screeching loud noise when we turned it on. It likely needs to be replaced. Other than that, the unit was amazing. It has more space than other units, has amazing sights, and the carpet was a nice change from past years having tile floors.

Reviewer Comments: We have stayed in this condo before because we have a big family gathering in Gulf Shores almost yearly. I will say the owners have spruced the place up with new living room furniture and paint. The beds are absolutely terrible. The master bedroom bed is so worn out that if there are 2 people in it you're laying on top of each other as it caves in. The mattresses in the second bedroom are as hard as a rock. My one son actually said the couch was more comfortable and slept there. The condo is supposed to be furnished with kitchen supplies but bring your own pots and pans. That being said the atmosphere of the Sandpiper complex is awesome. You feel like you're in you private little retreat vs a hotel. It's nice but we've stayed at more than a handful of other condos and for your money you can get a nicer condo but not the atmosphere.

Reviewer Comments: We have been going to Sandpiper for the last 2 decades.This was a terrible experience. The condo was not clean, I could write my name in the dust on the TV stand, there was mold on the ceiling near the vents, there was trash behind the nightstand in one of the bedrooms, we had to crawl under the sink to get water to the dishwasher. These are just some of the issues-went to the office after all of these started piling up and got a patronizing attitude from them. We rented 4 condos for a family get together. Very disappointed! $125 cleaning charge for what?? Changing out the sheets and towels? We had the end unit on the 3rd floor - the view was great but wouldn't rent this unit again.

Beautiful stay at the Sandpiper

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great stay at the Sandpiper! The pool took a day or 2 to get fixed (heater) but was wonderful for the rest of the week. The condo was clean and well kept too. I really like the keypad entry vs the physical key method as well. Parking was never a problem with plenty of room. Along with a great, and heated pool, my family enjoyed the grills. The only concern I do have are the price increases that seem a bit steep. Apparently the competition with Florida is heating up.
