Welcome to Water's Edge!

Water's Edge is a 6 BR/5 BA 2 level home that is directly on the beach. It is appointed with high end furnishings and finishes. This spacious 3400+ sq ft home features travertine tile in all common areas and bathrooms as well as natural stone tile in all showers. The living areas and bedrooms are enhanced by natural light that filters in from all sides through Anderson windows and doors. The open floor plan combines the living and dining areas with the well-appointed kitchen, making family gatherings comfortable and cozy. The kitchen is fully equipped granite counter tops, hardwood cabinets, an ice machine, plus extra drink refrigerator. The adjacent dining room seats 8 and the nearby bar seats 4.

The beach side master bedroom suite on the second floor has a direct gulf view, a 28' beach front deck, a sitting area, a king sized bed and a full private bath featuring a jetted tub, a separate shower with dual shower heads, double sinks and a walk-in closet. The second master on the first floor has a beautiful lagoon view, a king sized bed, a full private bath featuring a jetted tub, a separate shower, double sinks and a walk-in closet. The other 4 bedrooms include a king bed, two queen beds, and a bunk room with 4 bunk beds. Five of the six bedrooms have decks which are perfect for enjoying the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets! All bedrooms have 32'-42' plasma or LCD TVs. All of the bathrooms have natural soapstone counter tops and the bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans.

The ground level entry and foyer provides easy access to the upper levels as well as the beach. The central focus of the 1st floor is the large living room which features a large gulf front deck, a 70LCD HDTV, two full couches, two arm chairs for your viewing comfort. In the living room your hosts provide a Hi-Fi home theater system through which you can integrated your iPod or play your CDs. The home is also equipped with an elevator, a laundry facility, outdoor grill, seating area an outdoor shower and Wi-Fi.

This is a non-smoking home that will comfortable occupy 16 guests. We rent to student groups and wedding parties only after approval by owner.

Water's Edge is located approximately 2.5 miles west of Hwy 59. We feature a state of the art keyless entry system that eliminates the need to pick up and return keys - a unique code will be generated for your visit and emailed or faxed to you after full payment is made.

Best vacation home

The place was so perfect and such a good location. 8 minutes from the hangout and 25 minutes from flora-bama. The house was very clean and the kitchen has everything you need! Definitely will be booking again in the future.

Great Location House

This house is an absolutely beautiful home right on the beach! It was perfect for our family vacation. Multiple families fit nicely with plenty of space, kitchen is well stocked, and plenty of parking. The beach chairs and toys were a great plus! I would highly recommend this home and we will be back again!

Perfect for family groups

Perfect size and quality for four families to relax a few days on the beach together. Perfect location away from large hotels and yet still close to restaurants in Gulf Shores.

Perfect family vacation

It doesn’t get better than this

This home exceeds all the comfort of home! From the well-stocked kitchen to comfortable beds and an amazing beach, we never wanted to leave. We enjoyed all the sea shells and dolphin watching. The owner sent helpful information and was quick to reply to any questions. This rental will be impossible to beat! We hope we have the opportunity to return!

We were able to spend a relaxing month with our mom. We enjoyed walking the beach, searching for shells, observing colorful sunrises and sunsets, and sampling many delicious restaurants. It was so wonderful to be in Gulf Shores, avoiding cold wintry blasts at home!

Beautiful Location

Highly Recommend! Beautiful location. Loved sitting on the deck every morning enjoying the ocean and dolphins. Has several chairs you could take to beach. Beach was clean and very close to property. The home was clean. Has enough room for everyone. Included anything you would need in the kitchen. Including a grill outside.

85th Birthday Celebration

We had 13 adults, 1 baby and 2 dogs and the accommodations could not of been better. Finding a house with so many kings size beds and bathrooms was not an easy task. The kitchen was especially well equipped and the grills were a bonus. The beach itself was beautiful and not too crowded. Stephanie, the host was easy to communicate with and very accommodating. She was kind enough to get a high chair and port a crib when we inquired if there was one on the property. My 85 and 84 year old parents appreciated the elevator ( as did my sister in law with her abundance of heavy luggage ) Would definitely rent here again!

Nice place!

The elevator was a huge help. The location and access to beach great. House and number of bedrooms perfect. Kitchen is great. Still, Carpet on second floor is OLD and dated. Back porch is carpeted and old and fraying. Proch stairs need a coat of paint. Back porch under house could be great entertaining but old, dirty. Cracked toys, old toys, old beach chairs. Needs some sprucing. Bedrooms nice size. Beds comfortable. Need need bedspreads. Overall, great place. Just needs some sprucing up. Pictures on line do not look as dated as the place is.

Nice Property

The property is very clean and the pictures accurately represent the condition of the home. We had two elderly parents with mobility issues, so the elevator was a blessing. The kitchen utensils are the best we have seen at any rental. My only caveat is that there was a significant amount of heavy equipment (bulldozers, etc..) on the beach related to the dredging of Little Lagoon Inlet and a beach restoration project. I believe these are extremely rare, but I would suggest any potential renter to check with local authorities for any planned activity prior to booking as it did limit our access to the beach for several days. Otherwise, I would totally book the property on my next visit to Gulf Shores.

Beach Week

We were looking for a place for a family get together. We have 3 adult children, spouses and grandkids. This was the perfect beach house for us. Plenty of bedrooms so each couple got their own. A room for the 2 to 6 year olds and plenty of space for the pack-n-play for the baby. The only thing that was not perfect was the ability to close off the stairs for the crawler. The stairways were too wide for child gates. Also, the steep stairs from the main level to the beach on the deck were not gated, so time on the deck with all the little ones was limited as the huge opening was a major fall hazard for the small children. It was advertised as a private beach, but since there was no signage on the street side to notify others, we would have vacationers from across the street walking between houses and setting up on the beach in what we thought was our private space. We learned we had to get up and go out early to stake out our territory. LOL

Our stay here was phenomanal ! We had plenty of room for everyone. The view was spectacular and beach acess was great. We called Ikes chair rental & they provided beach chairs & umbrellas the whole time we were there. We would stay here again ! Stephanie was a great communicator! Things we did buy that we didnt have there were beach towels which we didnt mind doing.

The property was clean, centrally located, well stocked, good appliances, nice furniture. The only issue was the small master bedroom downstairs and upstairs had very slow draining tubs. They both had standing water during and after the shower.

We loved the location and the house - beautiful beach and view with a perfect porch for my mom, elevator for senior ease of access, and close to all of our favorite seafood restaurants. The house fits our family beautifully, and the kitchen is well stocked. The only issue was a washer/dryer which needs work/replacement - but I think they have these on order. This is our third year, and we plan on coming back :)
