This is a centrally located hotel with a very nice and accommodating staff. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. For dinner, there are 3 different options all inside the hotel and several others within close walking distance. Overall I really enjoyed this hotel. They also had a nice gym downstairs.

All services excellent . Lobby , Breakfast , room, gym sauna. Only remark that I found a bit pity, is that I couldn't open a window in my room for some fresh air.

Very nice hotel and great service
Very nice service and location. I thought the parking was included but it was not and had to pay €15. Breakfast had a good selection and the staff was constantly 👍

About the only hotel available in Kotka close to Maretarium & Marina, as well as the park. No competition - thus “average everything” kind of hotel.

Nice central location. Some nice walks if you head north along the coast. Restaurant in the hotel is good but a little limited. Expect to pay Finish prices for drinks etc.

Good Hotel despite the construction
I stayed at this hotel during the month of September, 2018, when it was going through a major renovation on the first floor. My rating would be much higher if this construction wasn't going on at the time. I would expect that once it's finished, this would be a much better place to stay, but it was extremely inconvenient with the construction zone just outside the parking garage and all the construction storage taking up parking spaces in the garage. If you are staying here after it's completed, I would highly recommend this hotel which is in a great location.

Good hotel but poor bed choice
Great hotel at good location. However, "superior rooms" at such price should provide better beds (current ones are single size and not even flat.. very uncomfortable). In the whole hotel there are no double bed options. WiFi now has no password but is blocked by Chrome browser due to missing security certificate. On the bright side, superior rooms have very nice bathrooms and breakfast is quite good as well.

Only disappointing thing although a kettle in room if you wanted tea bags or coffee you had to go to reception and buy it. Thought it a bit mean what does it cost? Not what I expected as not a budget hotel

Great hotel
I really love Sokos hotels. They are a chain, but they don't feel like it. This particular hotel is in the centre of Kotka, convenient for sightseeing, cafes and restaurants. It's near the bus station too. The reception staff were professional and efficient, the room was spotless and, very important for me, it had a shower and not a bath. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious, taken in the excellent Fransmanni restaurant downstairs. The beautiful Sibelius park is just opposite and the Market Square a little further away. The hotel is situated on the Sculpture and Linden Promenades, attractions in themselves. I shall certainly be back when I return to Kotka next year.

Convenient Hotel
Great little hotel, no bathroom goodies though, so bring your own shampoo. Also no kettle in room! But very comfy for the price and location. Mexican restaurant is okay, the neighbouring French one is very nice. Service everywhere was very good.

Kotka is a small town around 120KM east of Helsinki, this was a business and was recommended to me by another colleague. Good clean hotel, breakfast was good and parking is under the hotel. A few restaurants are right next to the hotel. Would stay there again.

Good stay
Room was big. Bedsheet doesn't change even once for the whole stay (1.5 weeks). However, very good location, hotel looks new, probably best hotel in town.
