Amazing apartment located near the airport, it’s very close to the main attractions in Guatemala. I highly recommend this place, it’s gorgeous. The hostess Adriana was very responsive.

Location Location Location

The stay began well and ended as a bust. I was fortunate to have friends of a friend nearby because the one and only street that leads to this building was shutdown from 7pm to 1:00 am on the weekends due to a Gallo holiday festival. So no one could drive to the garage, taxis or friends could not drop residents to the building, having to walk several blocks. This caused me to not stay at my rental for the last two nights. My departing flight was at 2 am on a Sunday. The room and check-in and building restaurants were nice. It would have been good to know the name of the building for check-in and for transport, but this was not provided before check-in.

I wanted to like this space but there were a few things that were really disappointing. First, when we arrived the location instructions were super confusing and ended up taking us to the wrong spot. Then as I was looking for the check in instructions from our host there were none and had to message the host for them. Because we were overwhelmed with trying to figure out where we were and if we were in the right space I didn't see the host replied to my question about the check in instructions quite yet. Because I didn't see her message i decided to call her and she didn't pick up. During all of this our uber driver was still trying to help us find the right place and he decided to call her on his phone. She didn't pick up but responded when he messaged her. He sent a video to her of us on his phone trying to communicate with her and she complained to our uber diver how we were "a lot of drama". We were able to finally get into the apartment but then after looking around we realized the place was organized but not clean at all. The shower was dirty with hair still near and around the drain and the kitchen counter and bathroom sink was still dirty and looks like it hadn't been wiped down at all. On top of that there was a massive building right outside the main room and bathroom window undergoing major construction and was basically a fishbowl all the workers could see into. Overall this stay was pretty disappointing and I would not book this bnb in the future.
