I stayed in 2 other more expensive hotels and this is the one I liked the most. Certainly the one I'll go back to whenever I find myself to be in Antigua Guatemala again. The quality of the products used are top notch, like everything else really. From the toiletries, all the way to the linen. The staff is so well-mannered, friendly, respectful and detail-oriented. The hotel itself is so well decorated, it's like travelling back in time to colonialism. Special mention to Natalia who treated me with so much kindness, patience and provided me with good recommendations and directions whilst also taking good photographs of myself. Also, to the cooks with their home-made style authentic guatemalan breakfast with locally sourced fresh quality ingredients that tempted me to go back just to have a taste of them again. Truly a gem! I wish i could rate it more than 5 stars. By the way, this is my first time reviewing anything on this site, so go figure how good my experience must have been for me to be doing it now.

My fiancé and I stayed at this property for 2 nights and still cannot get over this place. The hospitality, food, and location is 100000/10. Would definitely come back to stay here and recommend this place to anyone. The staff were marvelous and friendly and the bedrooms nothing like I’ve stayed in before and we’ve traveled quit a few times. Loved our stay here!

My wife and I love quaint hotels that maintain the ambiance of the community in which will reside. Posada del Angel is a small 7 room facility with beautiful vistas of the local volcano (Volcan de Agua). The staff is friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful. The staff speaks English if you do not speak Spanish, and their complementary breakfasts are superb! I highly recommend this place for people who wish ot have a flavor of Spanish style Guatemala. Enjoy!!!

I’ve been in several luxury hotels in Antigua and this one takes all the prizes. Everything we asked for was taken to our room right away (even coffee and drinks at 10pm). Everyone was lovely and we didn’t want to leave our room

Everything was perfect except the wifi. The property needs to get routers in all the guest rooms. Also the lighting in the rooms could be better. We work remote and we had to go to a local cafe to work.

The property is very nice! We were disappointed because we booked 4 nights King room however the day before arrival they messaged to say that we had to take a double room the last night because they had someone else coming in for the King room. They were going to downgrade us the last night, no refund. Expedia refunded us.

We notified you the same day of your reservation (just minutes after you made the reservation) and we offered the last night in a different room, the same type (you had the message where we were saying that you reserved a deluxe standard room, and we wrote that we had the same type of room for the last night but in a different one) , and we offered you to change everything for you, your luggage and everything or the other option was change to a room for your four consecutive nights in a different room and it wasn’t going to downgrade the type of room, it was going to be a Jr. Suite with the difference that it has Queen bed not a king bed and at the end you did not accept to change rooms, nor the other room with king bed or to the queen bed, even when we showed you the options at your arrival. We did not refund because you made the reservation through Expedia.com and that was the correct way to get your refund, and we made the exception because usually we do not accept cancelation or modifications within the seven days prior to the arrival, considering that we offered options and it is not fair what you wrote. We are sorry, because you did not decide to stay the last night but when you reserve the day before, and you do not answer the messages sent from us minutes after of your reservation. Thank you for choosing us for those three nights, and maybe for the next time we will have the entire stay in the same room. Cordially

This is a beautiful property and the pictures are accurate. It’s a short walking distance to the city center but just far enough away to have a peaceful evening. It really has a bed & breakfast atmosphere that makes you feel like you have the entire property to yourself.

Wow the property was lash with plants and flowers. Beautiful pool and patios with great views and sitting areas. The conmen gathering room was across the pool vey countable with a fire place. Our room was very comfortable with awesome decor . The bathroom vey spacious with all the amenities. The dining room was beautiful with windows that viewed the pool and beautiful garden . The traditional breakfast was excellent. All of the staff was attentive and friendly. The location close enough to the central location and far enough to avoid some of the noise.
