I liked that it was close to main plaza, it's location was the best thing it, The things I did not like, the room door was barely lockable. the terrace door , you could not even lock, the toilet bowl moved and didn't feel secure, no surface space in bathroom , had to put toilet items on floor, back of toilet, no room service , only spa was a private contractor that would have to go to your room.

This hotel is very nice. Sadly some areas were being remodeled which did disturb us. The rooms are great and I would recommend after checking work is finished. Staff is very nice.

Very nice small hotel, wonderful location - steps fro on the central square. Lovely room, good service. Pool not real a factor as shaded most of the day and not well located. A very nice place for a few days

Lighting around the property was poor. Also consider having better access for guests with disabilities as well as ensuring that the floors are easy to walk and not slippery

Hacienda de Guadalupe was delightful. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, excellent service was given, and it is so close to everything, so it's easy to walk wherever you want to go in town. Thursday nights are especially fun with the 7:00 pm salsa lessons and dancing following.

NEVER AGAIN
Hotel Guadalupe is a very overpriced hotel for what is has to offer. I would be a good 100$ per day hotel but not in the 300/400 $ rate . Facilities are vary basic , poor lighting everywhere’s, lots of stairs and of different heights so it is dangerous to go up and down in such a poor light. Rooms and furniture are old. Yes they are clean. The restaurant is a joke, it takes at least one hour to get the continental breakfast that is offered with the rate and if you order a second cup of coffee, prepare to pay for it. Overall I woul never had stayed in this hotel if I knew how the service and installations Are. Also you have to pay in full at check in not at check out. At night they close the reception of guest cars at 11, so if you have a late activity, prepare to walk back to the hotel from the parking place 4 blocks away. Rooms are on a second floor without roof, so if it rains, you will get wet going to your room. The only good thing is the location, but you are paying way to much for it

Nice hotel, staff was pleasant, we had asked for an extra suitcase stand so we could keep our luggage above the floor, especially after seeing a brown roach crawling on the floor, but were told we were only allowed two, other then that all was good.

Best centrally located hotel
This is a very attractive hotel in the center of town. It has a good restraurant and bar, and the staff are very accommodating. I spoke Spanish with the staff, so I don't know how they are for English-only. There are english speaking waiters in the restaurant.

No restaurant,no bar, nothing but tepid water(no ice), no English, morning desk person made zero effort to help us,said only one room left for our date- there were 4 people in the entire hotel ! Pool area unkept . The town was unforgettable - wish I could say the same about the hotel ! Wonder who got paid for the 5star rating ? 2 and 1/2 at the most .Shame on you Expedia !!!

Good hotel right in center
Good hotel in great location. Nice restaurant with pretty good food. Hotel website mentions a spa but there is none. Staff do not speak any English but are very helpful. Rainfall shower head is excellent with great water pressure, the pool area seemed a bit neglected. The rooms are rather dark. If you can get one with a veranda that has French doors it seems much brighter. Advertised as five star but without typical five star amenities and service, but still a decent place to stay.

Master suite worth the extra $. Balcony over pool very nice. Perfect location. Staff goes above and beyond. Food choice is spectacular. Only drawback coffee, breakfast not available until 9...Starbuck's next door, though!!!

Don't stay on Thursday night, Salsa music so loud you can't sleep. Our food at the hotel was worse than bad. Didn't eat the free breakfast after first morning. A/C unit broke Friday night and required a room change.

San Miguel getaway!
Great location, beautifully finished building. Clean, few things that were bad but most certainly can improved upon, no valet was available when we arrived, he was talking to somebody inside the hotel, the restaurant staff was awful, there were only 2 tables, the food orders were wrong, not once, not twice but 3 times until we finally gave up and kept what we had in front of us. The reception asked me to pay even though I had prepaid a few months in advance.

At a glance, this hotel seems perfect.. Boutique, walks away from the main plaza, "Nice facilities" at a glance.. Once you get there, you realise that it is not a 5 stars, maybe 3, that the facilities are not that nice and that it is definitely very expensive for what you get... The rooms are "So so" to say the least, the bed was terrible, the overall condition of the room is poor and the bed... Wow, The bed, a very important thing, is incredibly bad.. mattress, sheets, covers, pillows, everything! This hotel should definitely be a 3 star at the most and half of its price, that way the consumer would know exactly what he is getting in to!

Great hotel
My fiancé and I stayed here for the first time. He's so picky with hotels but had no complaints at all for this one. We loved everything about it. The staff is helpful and friendly. The best thing is location as it's located one block from the plaza and next to Starbucks :)

Me robaron efectivo de la caja de seguridad y el personal administrativo no actuó con rapidez para ver las cámaras de seguridad,el personal debe de estar de acuerdo para cometer estos ilícitos y después de todo eso me sentí inseguro y con temor gracias a Dios ya pasó esa experiencia no lo recomiendo por ningún motivo jamás había recomendado un hotel en forma negativa siempre había sido positiva y Expedía lo puede constatar.

Estimado Sr. Saldaña, nuevamente le ofrecemos una disculpa, se ha revisado dos veces las cámaras y efectivamente corroboramos que en el lapso de tiempo que nos indico usted, no entra ningún trabajador del establecimiento a su habitación, lamentamos no haber podido cumplir sus expectativas y generarle unas vacaciones fuera de lo esperado.

Lamentamos esta situación, pero esto es debido al alto precio que manejan los estacionamientos en la ciudad, $500 es la tarifa promedio de pensión por noche y nosotros debemos pagarla a través del convenio que manejamos con el lugar.

Buen ubicado
El hotel está muy bien auditado, sin embargo la primera habitación olía mucho a cigarro y no servía el wc. Nos cambiaron y la segunda habitación no servía el lavabo. El valet es muy caro, y la persona extra la tienen con un precio también muy alto, ya que es un hotel que solo se utiliza para dormir, no tiene áreas de recreación que les pueda generar un costo mayor.

Its an good place to stay it wasn’t the first time I booked in this hotel, sadly no maintenance seems Happening around , my bathroom floor was old and ugly. My tv was hanging with some straps that one day or another it will break. Staff as always are excellent.

Cercano a plaza y jardines principales
Una buena opción para ir en pareja , por su cercanía a los jardines y a la zona más turística de SMA. En general bien el hotel un poco caro para lo que ofrece, quizá el valor agregado es la cercanía a jardín 50 metros de esta y a las zonas más concurrida de SMA. La habitación en general muy cómoda la cama muy confortable , baño muy caliente pues prácticamente no tiene techo y es un tragaluces en todo el baño regadera y tina. Por otro lado deben de poner más iluminación en el exterior del hotel en esa sección de la calle hay establecimientos abandonados y/o cerrados. Al entrar al hotel y llegar fuera de horario está muy oscuro dentro del hotel.
