"This is the best place to stay after busy and loud crowds of the city. Alfonso is the most gracious of hosts and has built a beautiful home with six guest rooms that each have their own bathrooms, all situated around an inner courtyard. Dinner was excellent…one of the best meals I’ve had in awhile. The room was comfortable and I loved the wooden shutters that blocked all the light out. Very peaceful and quiet. "Our third visit, and our stay was as special as both previous ones. Peacefulness, remoteness, spotlessly clean room, very efficient A//C, light comfy lounge area. The swimming pool was much appreciated, as was the poolside bar (weekends) and the delicious food from the Oromana restaurant - open Monday - Saturday evenings and weekend lunchtimes. But... what makes this hotel exceptional is it's staff. Waiting staff, housekeeping, behind the scenes staff we never met, and reception staff were polite and professional. Reception staff in particular were helpful, organising taxis, restaurant bookings and drinks durung the day when the bar wasn't manned. All the reception staff worked very hard, and went above and beyond to fulfil our requests. But one gentleman stood out. Thankyou Fran for taking time to make us feel extra special - always a smile, handshake, advice on festivals we may enjoy another year and he produced an iron and extra coat hangers in a flash. He made us feel we were friends as well as guests. Thank you Fran, for your genuine wishes that we had a good stay at The Oromana."
