The Nest on W Madison is wonderful for small families or solo guests. Stay cozy inside with internet, comfy beds, and great AC! Take advantage of morning coffee on the patio and nap in the hammock. Kids will enjoy the swing set and slide and play freely and safely in the fenced backyard. A block away is a park with jogging path and covered exercise area, located next to the public library. Also within walking distance are the main grocery store and other shops (and Starbucks ~1 mile away!)

Great place... loved The Nest!

Very clean! We had everything we needed and the A/C worked great! Very thoughtful host and great communication. We had plenty of room. Would stay there again in a heart beat.

Cute House, Conveniet to Lamar U

My husband, son's girlfriend and I stayed in The Nest when our son was in town playing baseball against Lamar University. This house was a great alternative to a hotel. It was cute, clean and well stocked. The owner had great communication and left some special touches in the home for us. The only negative is the size of the beds if you have more than 2 adults. I bought a $30 air mattress and took sheets from home. That worked fine for us. I recommend this house if you are going to be visiting Lamar which is about 15 min down the road.

The Nest is a wonderful home with all the amenities to make for a comfortable stay. Ample room to relax and enjoy meals. Super tidy with a generous supply of tolietries, paper products, kitchen necessities, and much more! However, the sleeping accommodations are subpar and did not make for a well rested nights sleep. The full size beds in each room are essentially a petite version of an oversized standard twin mattress. They truly are designed to hold one adult each or two small children. We knew in advance the beds were declared as Full size but naively assumed they would be closer to a queen size. The Nest is truly a great home and can earn 5 star ratings but for the size and ammenities of this property larger beds are a must! The host was readily avaialble which we appreciated. We wish The Nest the very Best !

Great stay for holiday travel

Ginger's home was a great place for us to stay while visiting family over the holiday. The location was great, close to everything in the area. The backyard and porch were great to get out of the house. We had lots of rain during our stay, so it was nice to have a spot to get out of the house and not get drenched. We'll definitely be coming back when we come back in town.
