Exit to the balcony, to the loggia, to the patio, south facing position and west facing position. 2 rooms, each room with 2 beds (90 cm, length 200 cm). Kitchen (oven, dishwasher, 4 ceramic glass hob hotplates, microwave, electric coffee machine) with hatch, fondue Set (cheese) boiler (20 litres). Bathroom, sep. WC. Electric heating. Parquet floors. Large balcony, south facing position and west facing position. Balcony furniture. Marvellous panoramic view of the mountains. Facilities: hair dryer. Internet (WiFi, free). Garage, height 210 cm. Please note: non-smokers only.
Chalet 'Bergfink'. In the district of Terrassenweg, 2.5 km from the centre, in a sunny position, 100 m from the skiing area, south facing position. For shared use: garden. Patio. In the house: storage room for skis. Linen change weekly (suppl. charge extra). Pre-arrival grocery service. Storeroom available. In Winter: please take snow chains. Communal covered parking at the house. Parking space or garage only for small to medium-sized in the limit of these measures : height : 2.05 m, width : 1.85 m, length : 4.60 m, so as to enter the gate, and for the width, to leave enough space for all residents of the chalet to access the ski storage corner in the winter.. Shopping centre 2.5 km, restaurant 100 m, bicycle rental 2.5 km, bus stop 'Bodmi' 50 m, railway station 'Grindelwald Dorf' 2.8 km, outdoor swimming pool 5 km, indoor swimming pool 2.5 km. Golf course (6 hole) 3500 km, tennis 3 km, minigolf 2.5 km, sports centre 2.5 km, ski lift 100 m, gondola lift 2.5 km, slopes 50 m, ski rental 100 m, ski bus stop 50 m, ski school, children's ski school 100 m, children's playground 2.5 km. Well-known ski regions can easily be reached: First, kl.Scheidegg / Männlichen 4 km. Well-known lakes can easily be reached: Thuner-/Brienzersee 18 km. Please note: ski bus (free of charge) bus service to the ski region First and kl. Scheidegg/Männlichen. In case of good snow conditions, the house is accessible on skis.
We do not live on site and rely on professional cleaning staff. We will provide you with clear access instructions and let you know the key delivery process. Cleaning and linen change will be done. From Jan 2026, due to increasing maintenance fees, cleaning fee covers cleaning, linen and towel laundry, supplies of taxed trash bags, detergent, dishwasher tab, soap, toilet paper, no other toiletries. Tourist tax will be charged at booking confirmation through an extra payment request. Please check the rates for the town of Grindelwald : 5.2 CHF per night per adult, 4.2 CHF for teen agers 12-16, no tourist tax for children up to 11.

Great accommodations nestled in the hills of Grindenwald

The chalet was away from the main road in Grindenwald. It was quiet and offered amazing views of the nearby mountains

Nice property, great view

The property was clean and well stocked. The mountain views from the porch and interior (including the shower!) were great. The host was very responsive and accommodating. It is quite a walk from the downtown and train station, but nice and quiet. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful vacation

We really liked the accommodation and felt very comfortable. The apartment is very well equipped. Nothing is missing. The view out of the window is amazing. The garage parking space is unfortunately too small for slightly larger cars, the public parking lots nearby are very expensive. But we found a good solution with the owner.We can recommend the accommodation!Thank you very much!

This place was just amazing! Very clean, extremely clean! And very recommended to take the bus on check in day since it’s a very steep hill and with luggage is not very easy. Overall? A 20/10

Grindelwald Apartment

Lovely large, clean apartment with fabulous views. Regular buses into town. Tv with Netflix. Able to ski down to cable car. Garage space not big enough if you have a large car. We parked in guest space next to building.

Place is nice, thats about it

Booked this for family of 5 for 4 nights, mid summer stay. Decent price. Very difficult to find. Poorly communicated instructions.Check in process was fine. was quite warm, and there is no A/C in virtually any lodging in Switzerland. Tried to leave the windows open but the flies were crazy. Asked about fans which were not available. Very little available to help with cooking. No oils, not much for spices, etc. We did some of ourown cooking, which involved buying everything ourselves. The bedding of the queen bed was crazy hot. Europeans do not use a top sheet, but often a sheet to cover the mattress. Our bed in this unit had what felt like a bath towel over the mattress, and 1 down comforter on top. Very uncomfortable and very hot.If you THINK there may be anyone staying in your unit from the US, why not make a top and bottom sheet available? The towels looked like they have been used for years. In all, decent place, but owner appears to place zero effort in this place, aside from cleaning. And location requiring navigating a bus to, from Grindelwald further complicates things. Decent place, but I'd stay somewhere closer to the train station if I stayed in Grindelwald again.

Goed verblijf

Leuk appartement, alles wat er moet zijn is er, niet meer of niet minder. Mooi uitzicht. We dachten dat we aan de piste zouden zitten, dit is echter niet waar, het appartement ligt aan een heel klein oefengebiedje voor beginnende skiërs en er is geen aansluiting naar de rest van het gebied.

Nice appartment

Enough space for 5 adults. Kitchen complete equipped, nice balcony at the sun side, garage is small, not suitable with a ski box or large car. Very nice close to the Bodmi bus station, and there you can also ski towards the First cable car station.

A lovely retreat

This location is a bit up the mountain (I'm sure it is fantastic for skiing but we visited in August). As such, it is away from the nutty tourist centre and the views are fantastic. The local bus service is super efficient and a brilliant way to get to the top if you do not want to hike the slope up. The flat itself is spacious and bright. It was amenable to self-catering, and had excellent laundry facilities.

Incredible location, wonderful home

This was our favorite stay on a 2 week trip. The host was wonderful in providing very detailed instructions well in advance, along with a bus pass and travel cards that netted discounts. We easily found and accessed the place and were dazzled by the views and the great layout of the place- it is very spacious and cozy and a pleasure to be in. If you need groceries, there is a great COOP with parking a quick drive down the hill. The apartment has all you need to prepare great meals and the kitchen is well laid out. We truly didn’t want to leave and hope to return. A true gem!

Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen, Lage war top, leider viel Schneefall, aber haben wir auch nochmals genossen:). Leider, hatten wir noch Komplikationen mit dem WC. Aber der Sanitär konnte das Problem beheben. Sauberkeit, könnte hygienischer sein, auch der Schlüsseltresor( klemmt) mal anschauen. Tip, für deutschsprachige Gäste einen Ordner mit wichtigen Telefonnummern aus der Region inkl. Inhaberin auflegen. Wir fühlten uns aber für die Gesamtbewertung wohl👍

Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen! Top Lage für Kleinkinder. Sehr gute Verbindungen ÖV Minus Punkt, die Duschbrause fühlte sich an wie eine "Sandstrahlbrause" Wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen.

Skiferien

Da wir 14 Tage gebucht hatten, wr es nicht so tragisch, wenn's mal "leider" geregnet hatte. Mit kleineren Kindern ist die Lage optimal, da das Übungsgelände "Bodmi" so nah ist. Zum grossen Skigebiet ist die Skibus Haltestelle aber auch nicht weit. Die Skipisten werden sehr gut gepflegt .... Alles in allem hat es uns sehr gut gefallen.
