Great old property fantastic views of the lake. Beds comfortable, rooms could have mini bar fridge plus tea & coffee facility in room.

A unique place for a one night visit as we stay in a private room but could hear the bar until closing! Not a problem of us since we enjoy the walking distance from the bar and festive atmosphere to our room!

We're glad you enjoyed our atmosphere! If you ever return and want a quieter room, we do have accommodation types that are separate from the bar/restaurant and tend to be quieter.

A pleasant stay. We'd return to Hotel Lake Brunner just for the friendly and professional customer service, the amazing food and of course the view! The flavours and presentation of the food were world-class

This is ok property as it’s little older but great value for money. They stayed late on 25th to make sure we are taken care when we reach.

Stayed one night in an apartment and it was clean, but the sofa/beds were old and not comfortable. The satellite TV also did not work properly. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was good and the staff is friendly.

Great scenery, staff unhelpful, website says it closes at 9 yet loud music and yelling occurred until roughly 2:30 which could be heard very clearly from the rooms. When calling to ask when the music would be shut off, was greeted with a very abrupt phone call informing it would be turned off at that point, yet continued for another hour. Offered a coffee for compensation for keeping us up which is already included in the continental breakfast.

Hotel Lake Brunner is a gem in the middle of nowhere actually. Perfect for its peace and serenity and views over the lake to a couple of snow covered peaks. The bar and restaurant was warm and inviting with the fires going full time. And the restaurant has a full menu to choose from. Can’t ask for more really. The accomodation was clean with lots of room options. I recommend this hotel and I’ll be back for sure.

Loud music for hours and no TV
On initial entry to the room it seems the cleaners hadn’t finished as there was a spray bottle and rags left on the kitchen counter. Plus rubbish from previous guests left on the table. We then went out for the afternoon and on returning at 6.30pm to settle in for the night we discovered the TV wouldn’t work. Went to the bar and asked if someone could fix it and were told someone would be down soon. 20 minutes later we were still waiting so went and asked again. A guy came down and fiddled with the tv and said yeah the Ariel has been down for a few days now and there’s no tv. No apology or any kind or resolution… Im not sure why they couldn’t have told us at check in as they were well aware of it and it had obviously been broken for a few days. They have internet so any kind of firestick in the tv would have resolved the issue instantly. In the end it was a boring evening of listening to the loud thumping music from the bar for hours as we didn’t even have a radio to drown out the noise. With 1 smartphone between us we took turns watching things on the tiny screen but far from an ideal evening of what was meant to be a nice get away with my hubby. Happy to say we won’t be staying here again.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your rating. Just to confirm for other users of Expedia reading reviews. The hotel has a large bar and restaurant on site with an extensive menu and we are open seven days from 8.30am to late. There is also another smaller restaurant and bar down the road, Platform 40, that is currently open five days per week. In the township we also have a small supermarket for supplies, and they have a cafe onsite and petrol station, a mechanic workshop and engineering firm. They are within a 15 minute walk of the hotel site.

Great place to stay with fabulous continental breakfast provisioned well by lovely Indian chap. Dinner was great also with fish n chips washed down by well priced beer. The views were superb even though there was rain and thunderstorms

We stayed in a room in the main hotel, and it was lovely the room was what we paid for, and bed really comfy, there was no noise from the hotel its self. If I was staying again I would take a flask of water as no tea or coffee making facilities in your room.

Thank you for your feedback. We take all feedback seriously. The room that you had is part of the original hotel and unfortunately does not have some of the sound proofing qualities as our more modern block. I have checked the listing and confirmed no mention of balcony however this room does have a veranda and does have large lounge window overlooking the lake. Thank you once again for your feed back.

Property has a lovely view, rooms are well appointed and is clean and tidy. Staircases however steep, badly carpeted and as a result dangerous enough for me to have a terrible accident. Hotel is located adjacent to a big bar that played very loud music until 2:30am and shouting, swearing noisy people kept us awake until 3am. Very disappointed in my time at Hotel Brunner

The unit in the apartment block was brilliant, but the room in the hotel building itself wasn't up to modern standards. It was very noisy in the evening, the door on the toilet/shower room didn't work and the water flow in the shower itself was pitiful. However, to compensate for that, all of the staff were very, very welcoming and competent.

I wondered if we were at the same place as other reviewers. This place is wonderful. Huge, well maintained room, comfy bed, nice kitchenette with everything we needed. Our dinner at the restaurant was really good and the staff amazing, breakfast good - couldn’t ask for better. All wrapped up in the glorious scenery and walks. Will definitely stay again if down that way. A highlight of our travels
