About this property

3BR/1BA lakefront cottage at Sunnyside with A/C, private beach access, and lawn games.

  • This 3-bedroom lakefront cottage at Sunnyside offers a little extra room to spread out — and it's one of the few units with A/C. Unwind by the shared fire pit in the evening, or spend the day at the beach just steps away. Fully equipped kitchen, spacious living room, and Lake Huron views right outside. Every stay includes access to Sunnyside's shared grounds: private beach, fire pit, beach volleyball, and shuffleboard. Located in Greenbush, Michigan.

You'll get full check-in details before you arrive, and we're just a message or call away if anything comes up during your stay — whether that's a restaurant recommendation or the best time to catch the sunrise. You're not routed through a call center; you're talking to the people actually managing the property.

Sunnyside Cottages sits on Lake Huron in Greenbush, Michigan, right along US-23 between Harrisville and Oscoda.

    Nearby highlights include:
    - Lake Huron Beach Access – On-site
    - Harrisville & Sturgeon Point Lighthouse – about 8 miles, 16 minutes
    - Oscoda – about 13 miles, 22 minutes
    - Au Sable River & Lumberman's Monument – near Oscoda, a scenic drive up River Road
    - East Tawas – about 28 miles, 43 minutes
    - Alpena – about 40 miles, 1 hour

The area is known for boating, fishing, hiking, and some of the quietest, most uncrowded stretches of Lake Huron's shoreline.

Guests will have access to their private 3-bedroom cottage, along with several shared amenities throughout the property.

    Shared areas include:
    - Lake Huron Beach Access – Direct access to the beach just steps from the cottages, great for swimming, beach days, and watching the sunrise.
    - Fire Pit & Picnic Area – A shared gathering spot with picnic tables and grills for evenings outdoors.
    - Lawn Games – Shuffleboard, beach volleyball, and a putting green scattered around the property.
    - Loungers & Swings – Additional beach seating, available seasonally (not set up October through March).
    - WiFi – Available throughout each cottage.

Each cottage is fully private, but the outdoor spaces are shared and designed to give the whole property a relaxed, lakeside-retreat feel.

    Property Details:

    - Parking is available on-site for guests.
    - Harrisville and Oscoda are both within 15–25 minutes.
    - Ride-share services like Uber and Lyft are limited this far up the coast, so we recommend having a vehicle for your stay.

Once you're here, plenty of guests are happy just settling in at the cottage and walking down to the beach.

House Rules: No parties or large gatherings. No drugs or illegal substances. Violating these rules may result in fees or immediate eviction without a refund — we appreciate your help keeping things peaceful for everyone on the property.

Sound: This cottage has an open-ceiling layout between rooms, so sound carries easily. Great for families or close friends staying together — just know bedrooms won't be fully private acoustically.

Water: We're on well water — safe to drink, though some guests notice a metallic taste. Distilled water is available at nearby stores.

What to bring: toiletries, beach towels (we provide bath towels), charcoal if you're grilling, cooking basics like oil and salt, groceries, and a lighter or fire starters if you'll use the fire pit.

What we provide: coffee, dishwasher pods, trash bags, paper towels, two starter rolls of toilet paper, and firewood for the fire pit.

Great location on the beach. Meet some great people that were staying there also. Beds were comfortable. Could not stay in the loft, too hot. Could use air conditioning. Check inn and out was very easy to follow. Kerri and Jimmy were great help with questions I had. Could use more kitchen towels and paper towel. Overall we had a nice stay.
