If you bring a dog and take it walking, beware that there are some big menacing dogs behind some inadequate fencing in the area (not talking about the ones right across the street).We stayed in an upstairs unit. "Wild, Wonderful and Almost Heaven. The WVA tourism board must have been thinking of this property.Evan was exceptionally responsive to any question right from the start and there were no surprises (okay the fishing right infront of the house was even better than Evan advertised so there was one surprise)Check in was exceedingly simple. The house was very clean and well maintained. If you are looking for something in the middle of everything this is not for you. If you are looking a quiet place with fantastic river views and no neighbors (I was able to see 1 house from the porch but it was almost a half mile away on the other side of the river and I had to use binoculars) in one of America's Best Kept Secrets National parks this is exactly the place for you."

"The house was cute and comfortable. We used it as a home base to explore the new river gorge area. The coffee bar area is super cute and well stocked. We didnt do much cooking but we found what we needed to cook breakfast. Kids appreciated there being some toys to play with."

"Loved it! The Guesthouse is like staying at a friend’s house. Very comfortable relaxing lodging experience. Different than staying in a regular hotel. A little more money but well worth it! I will probably stay there again when I’m in the area. Highly recommend the Guesthouse if you want your stay to be part of the experience!"

"Absolutely incredible from start to finish! The cabin was beautiful, comfortable, and had everything we could possibly need for a perfect week away. Every detail made us feel right at home, and the peaceful setting was exactly what we were looking for. We spent our week at The Eloise celebrating our daughter’s 16th birthday and Brent went above and beyond, even surprising her with a card and cheesecake! The fire pit was laid out nicely and we even had the makings of s’mores waiting for us. We made so many wonderful memories and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend!"
