"The place is exotic. For instance, while leaving on the 7km driveway we saw two black footed African Cats! The room was funky cool! The restaurant was fantastic. In fact, if the Spinach Soup is on the menu, order it!!!! What a charming place— hard to get to but well worth the effort!"

"The Himeville Arms is a newly renovated country inn. The Inn itself is decorated nicely and kept up to date, including a pub, several dining areas as well as sitting areas. It is really nice. The cottages are not newly renovated and in acceptable condition. The staff deserves recognition for their willingness to assist you and always attending to customer services. "We all loved the cabin ...bed comfort was fine and internet was okay. The amazing views and walks I really enjoyed. Everyone was friendly and our cabin was cleaned up each day thanks to the staff. I wouldnt hesitate to book again. Thanks for the lovely week at Elands Valley Resort."

There was a 1-page menu with numerous items that you could not have as they did not have stock. "The place was generally in good keep including the room, except behind the curtains. Spiders had spun their webs everywhere resulting in us having to ask the reception desk for spray to kill them, so this was a big no no to housekeeping. Dining area staff seemed absent minded throughout the four days there. Tranquil and refreshing overall although I found myself wishing that I had booked into a mainstream hotel on several occasions."
