La Folie Douce Hôtel Chamonix

"The hotel is really nice, but the rooms were a bit outdated. I did not mind it that much and the bed was really comfortable and I had a nice view of Mont Blanc. The shower was a bit annoying because it was really small, everything would get wet, and the temperature kept going up and down. It was nice that the toilet was separate. The hotel has no AC but it had a nice big window and it kept the room cool. The only bad thing is that if you had loud neighbors you had to pray they would go quiet once you are ready to sleep."

"Absolutely fantastic place with a superb staff at a very reasonable price! Rooms are nice & modern, the restaurant and bar are great (best breakfast around)! Really nice little spa with a great pool, hot tubs, and steam room. Will definitely return."

"Beautiful and conveniently located property with excellent restaurants. I would have given it a 5 star review except that I forgot a blazer-jacket in the closet. I reported that I had forgotten it less than 12 hours after checking out ( we had moved to an adjacent hotel for a pre-planned trip). They reported that they could not find the jacket. So a $400 JACKET is gone - and there can’t be many people that entered the room in such a short time period. Great property - but don’t forget anything there!"

"Very reasonable rates! Great fun clean hotel. Comfortable beds. We had 11 rooms reserved - check in was quick. Staff is super friendly and they are amazing! Food at the restaurant is great! The whole atmosphere is fun! Great playground for kids and great outdoor seating to relax! Super great location for TMB. They give complimentary coffee 24 hours a day( and it was good!) plus they have a microwave available for guest use and a refrigerator in common area for guests to put small refrigerated items in. I rate this a 5 for cost, location, cleanliness, amenities! Also a friend had sprained her ankle hiking- they gave us free a large sealed bag of ice to ice her ankle! Thank you to ALL the staff at Rocky Pops! You are the best!!!!!"

"We had a wonderful one night stay on a driving trip. They had on site parking that I reserved in advance. The room was spacious and clean. The breakfast was excellent with a variety of choices. It was convenient to walk into the medieval part of town. Also was close to walk by the lake. I would definitely stay again."
