The hotel is located in the center of old Graz so we had some problems finding the hotel. Parking is about 2 blocks away. Hotel is wonderful and you can walk to attractions.

The hotel needs to improve standard of all rooms to match descriptions and pictures of their rooms from the web page. Make sure heating is on in the room, during wintertime before guests arrive. Friendly stuff and okay breakfast.

Our first time in Europe and went to Graz on a recomendation and were very happy and surprised by how we were treated especially that most of the staff spoke very good English and were always accommodating and helpful. The location is also perfect. Highly recommend hotel and Graz for a European vacation.

The hotel is in a great location. But you cannot expect more than that. Two things are bothersome: 1. Other 4 stars hotels (i. e. Hotel Merkure) in the area provided their guests a. 4 bottles of water a day, esp. when it was so hot on these days; b.Breakfast was included; c. Price per night is lower; 2. The staff was in general very nice and helped me with printng of my paper. However, the breakfast lady had a horrible arrogant attitude: Breakfast is supposed until 11am; when I was there at 9am, certain things were already gone, but she refused to add, for example, smoked salmon, to the table; her response was rude (the breakfast was 21 Euro). Some people may not care for smoked salmon, but I do like it for breakfast (do it at home too). Additionally, bathroom is spcious, but it was designed horribly: water faucet cannot completely turned up to the right because there is a piece of glass on top of it keeping you from doing it. No shower curtain, only a small cover attached to the front of the bath tube. So shower water came out on the floor and bathroom door that you have to wipe them dry after each shower.

European tour 2023

A wonderful hotel right in the heart of the historic section of Graz. Everything you could wish for is within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is full of character, our room was enormous compared to modern functional hotels. The facilities are excellent and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We loved our stay here and would highly recommend both the city and this hotel.

This Hotel building is a history by itself. it is located on the doorway of the Graz main square.The open space up to the roof, and the beautiful plants around this space are extraordinary. The room is nice, so do the bathroom. the only little mater is that the shower holder on the Jacuzzi is not holding it upward position.

They never did manage to reconnect the hotel to receive English TV channels such as the BBC, CNN and France 24. The tech put a call into their service provider but no luck in getting any action. It was raining heavily so I was largely confined to my room so it would have been nice to have access to better TV programming.

Very hard to get to by car. There are no TV channels in any language other then German. Breakfast not included, expensive, yet with cheap offerings. Parking is in the area shopping mall, and you have to drive around several blocks to get there. And once I paid parking in hotel, the ticket to get out of garage did not work. I called hotel and was told I need to go parking office, while unable to even tell me office location. Once I objected, they called the garage and sent an attendant to help me out. Altogether, it took almost 0.5 hr. Just to get out. Thank God I did not have to catch a plane. This is a set-up where a availability of valet staff is a must, so a guest does not have to suffer through that. Altogether, not getting a good value for your dollar.
