The cabin offers two comfortable bedrooms, each designed to promote relaxation. The main floor bedroom features a queen bed, a TV, and a beautiful skylight perfect for stargazing as you drift off to sleep. The closet provides ample storage space for your belongings and includes a pack and play and baby monitors for those traveling with little ones. The loft bedroom, accessed by a ship's ladder, showcases the peak of the A-frame and offers a queen bed with a beautiful view. Both bedrooms come equipped with fans, charging cables, sound machines, and space heaters for your comfort.
The fully equipped kitchen is a cook's delight, featuring a gas stove/oven, full refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, crockpots, toaster, coffee station, a complete set of knives, and anything you might need. Whether you're preparing a quick breakfast or a gourmet meal, you'll find everything you need to create memorable dining experiences. Enjoy your meals in the cozy dining area or on the spacious front and back porches.
The full bathroom features a shower, providing a refreshing space to clean up after a day of outdoor activities. We have included hand soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner in case you'd like to leave yours at home.
Step outside to enjoy the serene surroundings on the front and back porches. The river is known for its excellent trout fishing, and there are several canoe liveries nearby where you can rent equipment and arrange for shuttles. The Hartwick Pines State Park also offers a scenic backdrop for picnics, nature walks, and birdwatching.
When the snow falls, the cabin becomes a winter wonderland, perfect for snowmobiling, snow shoeing, and cross-country skiing. The nearby trails offer miles of groomed paths for winter sports enthusiasts, and the cozy cabin provides a warm and inviting retreat after a day in the snow.
In addition to the cabin's amenities, you'll find a selection of board games for cozy nights in or entertaining family and friends. Board games are a big part of our lives, so we wanted to share that love with our guests. We've got a great selection and are excited to share!
The spacious yard surrounding the cabin is perfect for outdoor games and activities, providing ample space for children to play and adults to relax. During the warmer months, enjoy outdoor games like cornhole, ladder ball, and more or simply enjoy a leisurely stroll through the tranquil woods.
To ensure the safety and security of our guests, property, and community, we have installed two exterior cameras (garage and front yard). Rest assured that these cameras face away from the house and toward the public roadway, maintaining your privacy while monitoring the surrounding areas. These provide security for you, for us, and our community.
Guests will have access to the entire home property, excluding the garage and shed. The garage is available for those who may need it (storing ORVs, etc.) for a nightly fee. Entry to the cabin is through the front door, which is equipped with a keypad lock. Detailed check-in instructions, including the access code, will be sent to you before your arrival date.
For those with electric vehicles, we provide complimentary Level 2 EV charging in the garage, ensuring a convenient and eco-friendly stay. If you plan on using the charger, upon arrival, we will provide you with a separate code to access the garage and the charger.
We strive to provide our guests with a memorable and comfortable stay. As a special touch, you'll find a QR code in the cabin that connects you to our local recommendations, ensuring you make the most of your Northern Michigan getaway.
