Apartments in Gravina di Catania

"Relatively clean aside from dirt on floors and the white stain on the couch. Biggest issues were: * consistent strong sewage smell in main bathroom, bordering on nauseating. * Cheap soaps * pillows were horrible. Like a rock. * bed was angled in middle -- like sleeping in a burrito * no instructions on entering -- building door key did not work well, had to play with it for 10 min to figure out how to make it work. Also took a while to figure out the entryway lights for the building, etc....

"When we arrive late in the evening our apartment had not been cleaned therefore alternative accomodation had to be found. Fortunately the rep Giovanni contacted a friend and arranged overnight accomodation. Unfortunately we were not able to access our original apartment until 1500 the following day, therefore we lost out on a full day of our holiday. "We had a fabulous week. The views are just amazing and the pool is wonderful. There's an excellent restaurant next to the villa if you don't feel like driving or walking (it was very hot in August) but Santa Venerina is a lovely town within walking distance. "Très bel appartement refait à neuf et confortable. La décoration est faite avec gout. Très bonne localisation car situé dans le centre ville de Catane tout en étant au calme. Le cœur historique et ses restaurants est à moins de 10 mn à pied. Possibilité de se garer gratuitement à proximité de l'appartement. Bonne localisation également pour aller marcher sur l'Etna (30/40mn en voiture). "

"Description never mentioned that apartment had 5 flights (albeit short steps) of stairs without an elevator. It said there were 4 bedrooms and 3 baths; actually, 2 bedrooms on main floor with ONE bathroom, 1 bedroom up another flight of stairs with its own bathroom; it was the only bedroom that had 2 beds (one queen and one twin) so the 2 male friends had to take that one. The so called third bathroom was on the top floor across the kitchen and laundry room, designed to be a maid's bathroom,...

"Les photos ne sont pas représentatives du lieu, elles l’embellissent. Lors de nos 7 premières nuits, le ménage n’avait pas été fait ( sol, cuisine ). Les odeurs étaient dérangeantes. L’espace était plus propre lors de notre 2ème séjour ( une nuit ).Le lieu est humide. La cafetière n’a pas d’anse.Trop peu de lumière dans ce lieu."

"Die Unterkunft liegt direkt an der Hauptverkehrsstraße man kann auch sagen Rennstrecke wo es MEGA LAUT war. Der Zugang zu dem Apartment war völlig ungepflegt und zugemüllt. Im Badezimmer und Schlafzimmer löste der Putz sich von den Wänden durch Feuchtigkeit, Vorsicht ist geboten beim Duschen wenn der Boiler sich einschaltet verbrüht man sich. Die Ausstattung der Küche ist mehr als Mangelhaft und was an Geschirr und Besteck da war musste erstmal gereinigt werden. Es empfehlt sich hier...
