"Our experience at this hotel was honestly completely horrible and unacceptable from the moment we checked in. I checked in a total of two rooms, both of them had issues, and both of them resulted in us having to move to new rooms. The first rooms we were given had no power, and when we pulled back the sheets there was blood on the bed. After reporting it, we were moved to different rooms, but those were just as dirty and poorly maintained. At that point, it was very late at night, we had just attended a funeral, and had driven four hours to get there. We were exhausted and decided to stay because we assumed that if the replacement rooms looked this bad, the rest of the hotel probably wasn’t any better. If we had other options at that hour, we absolutely would have left and found somewhere else to stay. Some of the issues we encountered included: • Blood on the wall (I have photos) • Suspicious stains on the sheets • A towel rack ripped out of the wall, and the smoke detector ripped out of the wall. • Both dead and live cockroaches in the room • Urine left on the toilet seat that I had to clean myself before using the bathroom This was one of the dirtiest and most poorly maintained hotel experiences I’ve ever had. There’s no excuse for rooms being given to guests in this condition, especially after already having to switch rooms once due to blood on the bedding and no electricity."
