About this property

Off-Grid On Superior: Entire Private Cabin On Lake Superior

  • Immerse yourself in Superior's summer symphony of crashing waves and tumbling rocks. This light-filled cabin is located on 900' of Lake Superior shore, features 20 acres of native boreal forest. Marvel at loons and merganser families swimming by, and tracks of deer, moose, wolf, lynx, and coyote, who share the land. Enjoy the profusion of wildflowers, mushrooms, and lichen that make the woods and shore rich with color.

    The space:

    Off-Grid On Superior is just that, off-grid. There is no running water or indoor plumbing. An outhouse is located down a small walking trail and an indoor and outdoor bucket shower provides a place to clean up. The warm wood-burning stove takes the chill out of the air as well as a convenient propane heater. The solar panels support lights, a small refrigerator, and Wifi. Cooking is made easy with a gas stove and oven. We do not recommend the cabin for the elderly or young children.

    Other things to note:

    Please bring your own drinking water. Cleaning and shower water is provided, along with all linens during your stay.
