Nice Small Route 66 Motel

We stayed for 2 nights to visit the Williams area and the Grand Canyon. No problems with check in. The manager is very nice. The hotel is a very well kept up relic of the Route 66 era. It is no frills, you get a clean room, clean bed and bathroom. Everything worked fine, and we were pleased to stay there.

Love this motel. Second visit within a year. The staff are friendly and helpful. The owner will do anything for you to make sure you have a good night. Lovely and clean. Look forward to staying again if we are in the area next year.

Older motel needs to be updated in their rooms. THe heating system, is outdated and is in dire need of REPLACEMENT, snap crack all night, no sleep. We had 2 nights there but left after our Grand Canyon Experience and drove all the way back to Vegas.

Highlander motel on Old Route 66!

Loved this little place on Route 66. Just walking distance from all the restaurants, brew pubs. It’s an ok motel from the 1960’s but in good shape, reminded me of when my family as a child would take driving vacations, and stopped at places like this all the time. Very nostalgic!

We had reservations at the Highlander but they overbooked and put us in a motel across the street. That hotel was not very clean and I felt a little unsafe.

Loved the "old route 66" ambience. The room was very clean, no carpeting!!! My 12 year old grandson said it was the BEST motel he ever stayed in even though there was no pool. He especially loved the very nice, friendly owner. Parking would have been difficult for large vehicles regarding backing out.

Overall ok for the price

It was winter and heater in our room was broken. They tried to repair it next day though. Very old hotel but they have managed to keep it clean. As it is close to Grand Canyon, nice town.
