Old and in need of repair
San Anton is ideally located for shops, restaurants and historic sites, however, it is in poor condition. Smokey room in a non-smoking hotel had two of our group changed to other rooms. Another had hair on the shower floor. We'll gladly go back to Granada, but we won't be returning to San Anton.

We found insects inside the room
I would not advise any one reservation for this hotel argue that a four-star but I do not deserve only one star 1 reception improper and not good When booking requested a room smoking give me room for non-smokers The room was without shampoo or soap or towels and asked them after more than two hours brought them We found an insect inside the room

Needs a facelift
San Anton is ideally situated for city center restaurants and the Alhambra, however it is dated and needs a definite facelift. A smoke-smelling room (in this tobacco-free hotel) got use a change of room, and hair on the bathroom floor and breadcrumbs on the desk got two others of our party a room change. We later discovered the smoke came from one of the cleaners. On the whole, convenient, but at what cost!!

Very nice terrace with a greate view. The romm was a bit old but comfortable. The cleanliness of the hotel was very bad. The staff very nice and dependable.

Friendly staff. Less than 20 mins to city center to catch a bus to Alhambra. WiFi connection poor in the room, need to go down to lobby

Good location, ok hotel
Hotel is located in nice area. Close to city center, restaurants and shopping. We enjoyed the rooftop restaurant for a relaxing evening drink and to watch the city lit up at night. Hotel needs upgrading though. Rooms a bit dated, stuck in the 70's, but served our purpose. The lobby was big and could possibly use a nice bar/cafe so that guests can grab a snack in the am. The pool on the rooftop was a fun escape for our kids to take a break from sightseeing.

This hotel is in a great, central location. The rooms are a good size and clean, and the service from the staff is very good. However, the hotel is dated and in need of refurbishment. Old, non-working TV in room and no minibar.

Granada San Anton
It's a n older hotel, but offers great family rooms, 2 bedrooms and views of the bcity. An easy stroll into the centre and across the road from all sorts of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. Had to pay for parking, €15 a day, but that was for an unlimited in/out ticket, so we used the car to drive up to Alhambra and around the area and simply parked it again at night time. Very convenient and cost effective, versus taxis etc. Slept well, beds a little clunky but overall a good hotel for the money.

Ok, for a short stay
Good location, walking distance to the CBD and many other touristy places. Rooms were small with not much spare room around the bed. The bathroom could use an upgrade, I don't believe bidets are necessary in this day and age and take up a lot of unnecessary space. The showers were small and the concrete wall in them restrictive and darkening - glass sliding shower doors would be much more appropriate. The most disappointing was the fact that there was no bar/mini fridge - something I consider as a minimum inclusion in most hotels these days. This proved slightly problematic for me as I have medication that needs to be refridgerated. On our last two nights, a school group was booked on the same floor with seemingly no adult supervision so the noise was both irritating and disrespectful to the other guests. The free wifi was very temperamental and was only available some of the time. The pluses - the location. The view and bar from the roof top cafe. A very nice cafe/restaurant called LOFT, just down the road which soon became our local.

This hotel is cheap, but the quality of the rooms is poor. It needs an upgrade, and the general impression is that it is not very clean.

Pleasant hotel convenient to the city centre by fo
Pleasant hotel within easy walking distance of the city centre. Rooms were comfortable and clean without being luxurious. Air con was a must and worked well. Didn't use the restaurant so we can't comment on the food nor did we use the 8th floor bar although the views of the Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada were fantastic. The hotel provides parking in an adjacent commercial underground carpark. We booked the hotel room + 24 hour parking which was very convenient.

Gorgeous rooftop terrace with panoramic view city.
The staff at the hotel will make a reservation for you to see the Flamenco dancing in the caves with a bus that will pick you up and drop you off at the hotel. Great excursion!

The hotel is old and depressing. Although clean, the amenities are old (old TV sets, hair dryers, linens, beds, curtains, etc.). Definitely 4 starts is overstatement.

Hotel was located about 15 min walk from town centre which was close enough to be convenient but nice and quiet. Hotel was a bit dated but family room was large and well equipped although air conditioning in room did not work. Nice roof top terrace bar and restaurant.

People in this hotel have no sense of service.
Alhambra palace is the most important tourist attraction. This hotel is poorly located for that. We had problem with phone not working and after reporting they did not do anything. The rooms congested and does not appear clean. Lobby is big but poorly decorated. I should have chosen Hotel Alhambra.

Great location and viewing points on roof. Free parking is a bonus, other hotels were charging upto 18 euro a day otherwise. Basic room, breakfast buffet to a good standard. Hotel is more like a 3 and half star than a 4 advertised. Would recommend. Helpful staff

We were actually stunned by view of city and river at this hotel but it wasn't enough to make up for poor condition of rooms. First room my wife and I had, the bathroom door didn't even close! Front desk staff quickly relocated us to another room! Hotel is simply too dated for our liking!

Just a ten minute walk from Plaza Nueva. Parking under the hotel. Good cafes nearby. Comfortable and clean rooms. A 4 star hotel in need of a makeover to bring it back to 4 star but wearing very well and very good for the price.

Very clean and quiet! Only complaint was the wifi....since the only form of communication I had was when I had wifi, it was frustrating having it go in and out so often!

Excellent for families
There's no doubt the hotel is tired and dated....but it is comfortable and excellent value in a good city centre location. We booked a family room which actually comprised 2 bedrooms - perfect and a great price. There is a cafe and restaurant on the top floor which has superb views over the city; a good place to grab a coffee. The hotel also has basement parking which cost €15 per day.

Certainly not 4 stars, the dated and tired feel of the reception area and room was only compensated for by the location and value. The bathroom although functional and clean had broken tiles, decayed wood, rusty bath, and a bad layout. The breakfast was good and the rooftop bar spectacular and well worth a visit even if you don't stay at the hotel. The air conditioning did not cool the overly warm room. The telephone did not work. The bed was clean but the bed cover quite stained. There was an empty minibar...apparantly "for our own safety". The room safe was incomprehensible. The parking and location are real bonuses, fortunately it was cheap.

the hotel is conveniently located. rooms are somewhat shabby, but clean. we reserved a room for 4 (parents + 2 children) and got a corner suite overlooking the river. the folks at the reception were nice and friendly. as for the breakfast - well, it was not bad, but nothing memorable. Overall - a good value for money we have paid

Good position, pleasant hotel.
This hotel fulfilled all our needs. Pleasant staff, good sized comfortable room, clean, in walking distance of the centre of town and good value for money. We would happily stay there again.

Tired and dated
We didn't stay at the hotel as planned as we were so disappointed with the standard. The hotel is classed as a 4 star - not in my opinion - more like 2 -3 star. The lobby is clean but bare - no character. Only one lift was working. The bedroom was clean, dated and had a musty smell. The arm chair had a huge stain on it. The bed sheets were clean but the bed did not feel comfortable with a thin basic mattress. The bathroom was clean but again dated and the shower head was something from the sixties - about 5cm in diameter. We left our bags there while we went to find somewhere at the standard we were expecting. This did not take us long as we'd stayed in Granada before. We then cancelled our stay and moved to another hotel. The only plus for the hotel is free parking which is next door but no immediate access from the hotel. You need to go out in the street with your cases and take them down / up the steep slope into / out the car park.

Great city hotel - very clean, lovely room with plenty of space, great bathroom. Staff really friendly. Room had fridge and safe. It also had hairdyer but it's not a good one - take your own. No rooms had balconies. Not that much wardrobe space but lots of other space and drawers for clothes etc. The pics on the website don't do it justice - it was far nicer in real life. There is traffic noise (which you can only hear if the window's open) but this didn't bother me at all and I'm a light sleeper. Hotel has fab 360 degree view from the roof terrace and there's a small pool and a bar up there too. Ask for a room on a high floor. You get free parking in the hotel's underground car park. It's 10 mins walk to Plaza Nueva so it's very near all the city life - from Plaza Nueva you're at the base of the Albaycin which is lovely to walk round and explore. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

A hotel in an excellent location within easy walking distance for Granada. Parking is available underneath the hotel, so very easy to park and go to your room if you go further afield in a car to The Alhambra from example which is about a 15 min drive away. A taxi rank is also nearby. The breakfast was good value for the choice offered. The pool is tiny and cold even in summer and I would avoid the roof top restaurant as the food was not very nice and very expensive, we only ate there as we were pushed foe time and wished we hadn't. Overall a very good hotel for the price and location.

Fantastic stay in Granada!
We had a great time staying in Citymar San Anton Hotel. The location is great, hotell & staff where supreme and we really enjoyed Granada! The only bad thing we got to meantion is that the pool at the roof, it was a bit small & freezing cold. Except of that it was fantastic!

A million dollar view from the terrace restaurant but awful service. Non smoking room was a smokers room so changed rooms. Mold and smelly bathroom, AC not sufficient,staff not well trained for tourists questions such a pity for a beautiful city.

The location of the hotel was great. Supermarkets close by, a short walk to the center/Alhambra/etc.. We chose to park under the hotel,though we could have maybe have found something in the area (lots of one-way roads.. a little difficult) The rooftop is nice with great views, and the pool is shallow but ok. The decor has been luxurious a couple of decades ago. The TV was small but we didn't watch it anyway. The rooms were a good size and I'd say we had a pretty good stay.

Great location, within easy reach of all the sights, tapas bars and shops. Pool on the roof is a great bonus to cool down after a long day sightseeing. Good hotel for kids as there are separate bedrooms within the hotel room.
