"The room was very spacious and clean. No fridge, fan or usb points. Lovely big balcony. Staff on reception desk were helpful. Drinks at the bar were expensive. Breakfast was ok, but the hot food was burnt and dried out by the time we got down there at 9.15 am, so we went down earlier the following day. A walk down the hill to restaurants, bars and the harbour."

"Really good views and very nice staff. Hotel is slightly outside the centre of Torquay but is walkable in about 20 minutes. The restaurant was unfortunately very poor; our first evening we were unable to have our full meal due to “technical difficulties”. The second evening we waited 30 minutes to order even drinks and then there were multiple errors with the order; they did at least give us a discount. Not really value for money."

"We would never recommend this hotel to anyone, especially if you have children. Everything about this hotel needs to be reviewed from health and safety to ensure guests are safe, we had broken kettle, broken hairdryer, fridge in the room not working and the list is endless. I was so disappointed with the lack of service and the fact when I came down to reception staff would say I will get someone to come but no response"

"We only stayed for one night but enjoyed it, reception were fast and efficient and helped us with an issue very quickly. Bar is small but got what you need and the restaurant was perfect for something quick like we wanted. Used the pool and gym while we were there and while the equipment was maybe a little dated it all worked fine. Worth remembering though it is available for public or members so can get busy at peak times. Would definitely stay again."

"Fabulous hotel. Friendly staff and wonderful position. We had a gorgeous room over looking the estuary. Couldn't fault anything. My husband collapsed in Salcombe and everyone at the hotel was very helpful, particularly members of the public who came to my husbands aid. I did thank the people that helped us but not having anyone's telephone numbers was not able to thank them properly. It was so appreciated. We had to go home so didn't get to enjoy the hotel as we would have liked. Thank you again and a big thank you to the people who helped us."
