"Our trip to the Shepherds Hut was nothing short of idyllic! Our host Jay was so helpful and kind, even going so far as to give us a lift to Tunbridge Wells when our pre-booked taxi didn't show up. The outdoor kitchen was so easy to use, and made an al fresco breakfast very lovely. We took full advantage of the firepit - logs and kindling provided for us - as well as the lovely walks nearby. I would recommend to anyone looking to get away for a bit of peace and beauty!"

"The stables was in an ideal location for exploring East Sussex and Kent with lots of nearby attractions. The White Hart inn next door is a family owned village pub with lots of character, good beer and food. The accommodation was ideal for a couple. The open kitchen /longe was very well equipped with the added bonus of French windows onto a small patio area with outside seating. Very difficult to find any faults as is highly recommended we would certainly stay here again."

"We had a lovely weekend stay at this apartment. It was spotlessly clean, modern and very comfortable-perfect for a relaxing getaway. The kitchen was well-equipped, the beds were cosy and the whole place had a fresh, welcoming feel. The only small thing we noticed was that there weren’t many mirrors, which would have been handy-but that didn’t take away from the overall great experience. Would definitely stay again! "

"The staff were very friendly and helpful during our stay. The fan in our room wasn’t working late in the evening, and it was very hot. The receptionist kindly brought us a spare fan, which we really appreciated—she was very understanding and helpful for our family. Breakfast was always delicious with a big variety of choices. The only downside was the changing room, which felt dirty because there was a lot of hair on the floor."

"The whole property needs taken care of and updated. The room was very basic with a standard double bed in a large room. The linen was old and worn. The TV was very small and hang off the wall like a misplaced picture. The pine furniture was old and had a sticky film on top. The bath th was too high to step into and wasn’t the the correct shape to stand in while showering. As stated everywhere needed help and upgrading."

"This Hotel needs someone like the 'Home Inspector' to sort it out. You can see it was grand once upon a time, but now the bare minimum is done to make a guests stay tolerable. If it wasn't for the gentleman staff member, I would not have stayed a minute longer after my first night there. -Bathroom not cleaned, the previous guests used toiletries were still on the bath rim. -The remote control for TV was in the bathroom -Toilet paper was almost finished -Everything felt grubby -Electrical plug on the wall loose -Bed was as hard as a wooden board -Net curtain torn -wifi completely unstable -Toilet paper stuffed into peeps hole. -Receptionist made me feel unwelcome, when I asked for a glass of cold water, she looked at me as if I was an alien, and with a bar behind us, with ice, I don't think I was asking for too much. I would have paid for it if necessary, but there was absolutely no effort to get one for me. I am in my 60's and had just walked from the station with my luggage during one of England's hottest days on record. - The breakfast tables were sticky, no salt and pepper pots, or sugar, you are given a cup without a saucer, no milk jug, just a tumbler with a little milk in it. On the first day there was a milk line on the glass which meant it had not been cleaned from the last use. Second day there was a pepper pot on the table with no stopper in the bottom, it was completely empty. It became laughable in the end. Truly feel quite gut to have given them any money."

Combined with no air-conditioning it made my stay fairly unpleasant and it was very hot inside the room. There is a fan located high attached to the wall but it really didn’t help much at all."
