Southern Backroad Retreats (The Pool House)

The Pool House is nestled a mile from the Conecuh River in Goshen, Alabama. It comprises a country comfort escape paired with city convenience. This Pool House hosts one private bedroom with king bed and additional sleeping accommodations in the great room area with pool table and plenty of entertainment space. A beautiful view of the expansive countryside can be enjoyed while grilling near the porch. This awesome space is only a 15min drive from Troy (231), a 22 min drive from 331 in Luverne, and a 50 min drive from Montgomery.

The Pool House is a quaint one bedroom escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. It is actually the guest house for Covey Point Lodge. Three steps led you to the front door. Inside you will find a great place to relax, watch your favorite TV show on Dish, enjoy free WiFi, or delight in a game of pool. All while drinking a refreshing glass of filtered well water. In the kitchen you will find the cabinets stocked with most of your cooking utensils. Both the microwave and refrigerator are new. Any laundry needs can be taken care of in the full size washing machine and dryer located in the full bath. The back door opens up to a majestic view of the pool with a privates fence. Steps lead down to the poolside. There you can enjoy a rejuvenating dip in the pool, show off your diving skills from the diving board, or relax in one of the six lounge chairs alongside the pool. If outdoor activities appeal, a boys and girls pitching mound and basketball goal are available across the yard. After having all the outdoor fun you can stand wash off in the outdoor shower before grilling. Need extra sleeping to accommodate more guest rent Covey Point Lodge! The main house next door to The Pool House (April - September)
If you are lucky to visit The Pool House at Covey Point Lodge during October through March be sure to contact us about booking a quail, pheasant, deer, turkey, & hog hunts (during the appropriate season).
This spot of paradise is not far from Downtown Troy, AL. Local points of interest include Troy University which hosts seasonal sporting events, As well as, Troy Parks & Recreational Center. It hosts manicured walking trails and softball and baseball fields. Enjoy a quite stay off the beaten path at the pool house if you are in town for a ballgame or any other activity in Troy. Only approximately 12 miles outside of Troy , The Pool House at Covey Point Lodge would be an excellent location to stay. You can enjoy the activities of the city and return to the relaxation of the country.

Girls weekend!

I took my daughter and her bridesmaids for a weekend of relaxation before her wedding! This place was perfect!!! It was quiet and comfy!! We enjoyed our stay immensely!

We enjoyed our stay very much. Upon arrival the pool was green and dirty but they were very prompt to send someone out. It took until our last day for the pool to clear but it didn't ruin oour stay.

Outstanding in every way!

This place is about 10-15 minutes outside of Troy but worth every single minute of it! It’s clean, peaceful, and just really felt like home the minute we walked in. I can’t recommend this property enough! Also, treat yourself to the Old Barn Restaurant while you’re there!

We enjoyed our stay. Spent the day relaxing by the pool. Really nice property. Very clean and had everthing we needed. The Old Barn restaurant just down the road was great as well.

The Pool House was a perfect fit for our family of 5! We all had plenty of space, fun playing on the pool table, and it was in a close enough proximity to the events we were in town to attend.

Perfect Quiet Getaway

Cute house & private!

My husband and I stayed here for Troyfest. It wasn't too far and much nicer than staying in a hotel room at about the same price. It was nice & clean and had everything we needed plus a pool table! It was a little chilly for the pool, but it looked nice.

Always a lovely stay!

We book the Pool House annually. We enjoy the quiet atmosphere, while still being close to the city. Everything is ALWAYS clean, especially the pool and the house is properly stocked! Make sure to bring your sunscreen. This listing is one you don't want to pass up!

Great Visit!

The Pool House was a great place to stay. The home was clean and it had many things to do in the home like pool or maybe take a dip in the pool outside. The home is in a very rural area so if you travel at night it will be a very dark drive. Our host was great and very fast at communicating and keeping us up to date on the homes condition. We I’ll definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Country Property

This property was a wonderful surprise!!! The home was just the right size for the two of us. The home is in the country but only a short drive into town. It was great sitting out on the back porch swing and enjoying the swimming pool. The internet was fast when we needed to work and the home was in a great area between Greenville and Dothan as we were playing the Robert Trent Jones golf courses. I highly recommend this property and we would stay there again.

Peaceful retreat

The property and house were wonderful. The minimum to stay there is available. I was charged extra for the kids, but wasn't provided extras like coffee, towels, etc. The property manager did respond immediately when we had trouble finding key code at late check-in and helped us navigate a booking mistake. We will definitely stay again. I was more frustrated with the VRBO app than the actual property owner. It is incredibly cumbersome use in comparison to other apps.
