You’ll be surrounded by stunning scenery & endless opportunities for outdoor adventure. Our spacious one-bedroom rental features a king bed & a full-sized pullout, making it the perfect size for a romantic getaway or a small family vacation. The full kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook up delicious meals, & the covered porch provides the perfect spot for enjoying breakfast with a view. Step outside & follow the path to the lake, where you’ll have access to your own private dock for boating & swimming. In the evenings, gather around the fire pit for s’mores and stargazing while watching the twinkling glow of the fireflies. Located 4 miles from I-57 & I-24. Comfortable for up to 4 people.

Our hosts communicated with us before our visit and provided great information and reviews about area activities and restaurants in the cabin when we arrived. The cabin was nicely decorated, clean, and included everything we needed in the kitchen. The porch provided a peaceful place to sit and watch the wildlife and sunsets. We look forward to returning again!

This property is located close to plenty of antique shops and two beautiful state parks as well, yet secluded from any traffic after a day of adventuring. A super clean and comfortable place with modern amenities and charmingly decorated. While relaxing on the front porch, we saw deer, turkey, bluebirds, and even a fox. It was a great place to wind down for a few days. Denise made sure we had everything we needed.

We had a wonderful time on Crews Mountain during our visit to the Shawnee National Forest! The cabin has a great location in near the center of the park and is better than shown in the photos. It is an accessory dwelling on a well-landscaped property that has an in ground pool and a lake with swimming dock. The cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed. We saw lots of wild life, such as a fox, turkeys, geese, toads, and a hawk. We had a lovely visit and would certainly visit again!

Perfect!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was so spacious, clean, adorably decorated, had everything we needed and more. The location was perfect for day trips to Garden of the Gods, Paducah and excellent antiquing. We enjoyed walks around the property in the evening and dinner at several locations recommended by Denise. We hope to stay again.

Quiet and Beautiful

We had such a wonderful stay at this property! Everything was very clean and comfortable. The owners were very helpful with local information of hiking locations and great places to eat. We visited many different areas of the Shawnee National Forest all within an hour drive or less. We will definitely be back again soon!

Just what we needed

Very nice cabin. Close to all the hiking we had planned. The walk to the lake was much harder than it seems in pictures and very steep. Everything else was very comfortable and we had the solitude we were seeking. Would stay here again.

Cozy cabin

Wonderful property with all the needed essentials and more! The patio area overlooks a beautiful field and there was also a nice fire pit area. The bed was so, so comfortable! There was even a thicker memory foam pad for the sofa sleeper. Host was very responsive too! Would stay here again to hike in the area!

Weekend tour of Shawnee and other attractions

Cabin was clean and well-appointed. Location was beautiful and centrally located for our purposes. Host was accommodating with everything ready for our stay. Check in and out was easy. Deer and wildlife outside our windows with the lake just a short walk down the trail. Highly recommend!

Perfect weekend

The cabin was as described and more! So clean and comfortable for my family of 4. We enjoyed swimming and fishing in the lake. Do recommend a good shoe for the walk to the lake as it is a bit steep. The owners were very helpful and so nice. We highly recommend this cabin and would definitely come back. Quiet and relaxing!

Spacious cabin

If you are looking for some quiet and seclusion this may be for you. Pasture behind the cabin with woods all around made for a serene location to unwind. My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was just as advertised. Roomy and nicely appointed. Ours hosts were very cordial and responsive to our needs. Enjoy!

Private and cozy

We loved this little cottage which provided us with a much needed get away. Very, very clean and tidy, it contained just what was needed. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit while watching the wildlife and sunrises/sets. I would definitely return as the hosts were so kind yet not intrusive. I will note the cottage is located right by the main house. This was not an issue for us and we did not see anyone, but others may want something more secluded.

Very secluded

We are busy people who do not find it easy to relax. The private lane to the property was a delight and beautiful. It was fun being greeted by the epedomy a southern gentleman who smelled so good. We were able to relax from day one and owners were most responsive to our needs. The feather laden bed was beyond amazing and the group of deers on the property were fun as it seemed they enjoyed watching us as we did them.

Our stay at Crews Mountain

We really enjoyed our stay in Goreville thanks to Denise and Ken Crews. Their rental home was perfect for us. It had everything that we needed, then a little more. It was very clean and comfortable, from the soft towels to the very comfy bedroom. The rooms were large and tastefully decorated. Ken Crews met us when we arrived. He gave us info about the area. We enjoyed our conversation with him. We thought their property was beautiful. Thanks guys!

Denise and Ken are wonderful hosts, and they have a fantastic place at a great location. The cabin has been thoughtfully created with all the conveniences and touches of a home. The beautiful porch was our favorite spot to enjoy tea/coffee in the mornings and evenings. The kitchen is well-stocked with cooking essentials and pantry staples for homemade meals. The mattress was really comfortable, helping us get a great night's rest. Loved the little drive under the canopy of trees along the hill leading up to the cabin. The location is great for access to Shawnee National Forest, Ferne Clyffe State Park, and other great spots in the area. Denise's food and hiking recommendations were much appreciated. Highly recommend this place and we look forward to returning in the future.

Crews Mountain

They stay was wonderful and relaxing. Even though the cabin is next to the owners house you still feel away from people. We didnt see anyone. The cabin is a great home away from home. The owners are very responsive and willing to help! The property is beautiful and peaceful. The path to get to the lake is nicely done with gravel and is wide. It can be steep at times and uneven. Overall it was a wonderful stay!!!!

This cabin was perfect for my birthday weekend away! It was super clean and fresh. Everything you need is in this cabin. The owners thought of things that I didn't know that I needed!! We had all of the comforts from home. The king size bed is super soft, almost too soft! The lake isn't as easy to get to as I would have liked. You have to walk down a path and there were parts that were pretty rocky and slippery. The cabin is located in an area that is close to the wineries and lots of hiking. We had a fun and peaceful weekend.

Cute Place in the Country

The house sits next to the home of the owners and a pool divides the properties. I think that is important to note if you are not wanting something like that. For my daughter and I, it was fine. Another thing to note were the ants. They were fairly bad in the kitchen even with nothing but food in sealed containers left out. Before arrival, the owners were helping me prepare for check in which was very helpful! They were incredibly nice and very responsive. I asked a question on the app late at night and got a reply very quickly. The bed is very comfortable and the pull out actually is as well. The place was plenty large for the 2 of us and we enjoyed our stay.

I couldn't have been happier with our little getaway! This house is adorable, cozy, and had everything we needed. And it was so clean!---without smelling "clean." As someone with a fragrance (chemical) sensitivity, it isn't easy to find places I can stay. Prior use of laundry fragrance and air fresheners don’t just go away. Being told that these items weren't used was clear to me because I had absolutely no issue. None. And when I saw the bar of fragrance-free soap that Denise had out for me I nearly cried. It is clear that Denise and Ken care not just about their home but their guests. (Communication with Denise prior to our stay was also easy with quick responses.) We enjoyed sitting out on the charming porch in the evening, sipping on wine and enjoying the country atmosphere. And sitting outside with a hot cup of coffee in the morning was just what I dream of. Peaceful and perfect. It was fun to watch the deer in the open field in the evening. The simple things. I felt completely relaxed and at home. The view of the lake is as beautiful as the pictures. Special note: it was a bit of a walk on a rocky path so once was enough for me. The cabin is very close to the owner’s home but that wasn’t an issue at all. It was actually comforting for me to know that if we needed anything (which we didn’t) they were close by. A getaway worth repeating!
