Lakefront Home on Lake of Egypt with Dock

New lakefront 3 bed, 2 bath home. Large master bedroom has private bath with huge tub. Other 2 bedrooms have own decks. Washer/dryer. Firepit, gas grill.

Large stocked kitchen. Knotty pine sunroom. Beautiful views all around. The sky at night is breathtaking. Near amazing hiking and gorgeous wineries. Spend all day playing in lake & fishing, enjoy sunset on the deck or go antiquing & hiking.

Canoe, 2 Kayaks, Lilypad float and paddleboat included with rental. There is a private dock if you bring your boat with a swimming dock attached. Great fishing off of the dock and we keep fishing poles and a tackle box in your cabin.

Great wineries, hiking and biking nearby! Very close to Ferne Clyffe State Park, Giant City State Park and in the Shawnee National Forest.

We also have other cabins if you have more family wanting to travel with you.

Please no smoking inside the cabin.

We are available to our guests by phone or text.

It's so quiet and all of the neighbors are wonderful. It is a very safe area. Fun to walk around or ride bikes.

There is no public transit to the cabin.

We have a little camp store within walking distance if you want to buy souveniers, sweatshirts or handmade items by local artists.

Have a peaceful magical vacation.

Great stay for Tunnel Hill race

Family group stay for the Tunnel Hill race. Well stocked and plenty of beds for everyone. Great Lake view. Nice location!

We booked Nature's Getaway for a short family vacation and everything at the house was just as described. We had a great time. The home was tidy and offered plenty of things to do. I especially liked that every room in the house had a view of the lake. We had a great stay.

Rainy Weekend Get-Away

Great home and location. We jush wish the weather would have been better, but we can't change Mother Nature. We will consider this property again in the future maybe end of summer or early fall. Thank you!

GREAT HOME IN A SECLUDED COVE

Great lakeside home! Looks small from the outside but inside is a surprisingly large but cozy interior, perfectly appointed for quiet relaxation or family game night fun. Very peaceful, secluded cove below the home with a private boat dock. Great owner/caretaker, always in touch if you need anything during your stay. And here's a huge plus: The beds are comfy. That is a deal breaker for a spoiled business traveler like myself. I slept like a log...Highly recommend this home on the lake!

Great cabin on the lake

We stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate a birthday. The cabin was great. The beds were comfortable and the living room, dining room/kitchen was a good size for 4 adults, a kid, and two dogs. The sun room was fantastic and allowed us to enjoy the view of the lake while sipping our morning coffee. The patio was a nice size too. Because we were celebrating a birthday the hosts provided cupcakes and a card which was so nice and appreciated. The cabin came with other snacks and goodies and fire wood and fire starter for the fire pit and supplies for s’mores. We loved that the cabin was on the lake and that it had its own dock with a canoe and paddle boat which we enjoyed using. The only improvement we could see was that the second set of stairs down to the lake could use a hand rail as we had a small child and elderly people in our group. We had a fantastic stay and would rent this cabin again.

View of lake and sky were very nice…large rooms and open ate w many windows; each bedroom has outside access.House does sit at atop a somewhat steep “bluff” property. Descent to boat dock is aided by step but does require effort Quiet starlit evening is enhanced by large fire pit w plenty of fuel already available. On-hand Basic supplies (coffee, oil, condiments) were helpful and appreciated

Retreat to Nature

A lovely and comfortable property nestled in the hills of Southern Illinois, this rental offers bird and deer watching from all sides. We hiked and visited a winery and thoroughly enjoyed our Christmas week together.

We had 8 adults.. one infant.. was perfect for us!! Loved the kayaks.. paddle boat .. swimming just all of it! Dock was nice size.. we even were able to put up a canopy on it since the wind wasn’t an issue that way we had sun and shade! We all said we would definitely return!!! Very responsive pre-booking and during stay!

Beautifully stunning and relaxing house and location. Cutely decorated for fall. The knotty pine sunroom was my favorite spot in the house. I didn’t want to leave. I will rent here again!

Spectacular lake getaway even better than pictures

What a delight to stay here! The home is just lovely, appointed with stylish furniture, linens, and decor—pictures truly don’t do it justice! The lake was so much fun, with plenty to do including water toys and fishing, all provided for you! We enjoyed s’mores around the fire pit, and we were an easy drive within several parks for hiking and enjoying the outdoors. Can’t say enough nice things about the hosts, they were prompt to respond and made sure we had everything we needed! We WILL be back. Stay here, you won’t be disappointed!
