We would absolutely recommend staying at this hotel! It was located a 5 minute walk from the train station, with easy access to surrounding towns — including Cinque Terre and Portofino. It was also just a quick walk to the sea and the city centre. The staff was so friendly and hospitable, and made our experience very special. The front desk was open 24 hours, and they stored our luggage for a few hours when we arrived and after we checked out. Our room was clean and comfortable and the rest of the hotel was also very clean. Overall, this is an excellent choice if you are looking for a hotel in Chiavari and we hope to be back someday!

Hotel Ferrari is perfectly fine from my perspective. The breakfast is very good and there is a café associated with the hotel. There are no meals at the hotel outside of the café hours 07.00 18.00hrs but there are lots of restaurants close by. Parking is free in the town car park on the beach front but that is about 800mts away, so not far unless it’s raining (which it was). Internet was ok but not fast enough to download data packages.

We loved the room. Spacious, clean, well situated. Excellent breakfast and coffees. Walking distance from train station. The only thing is the train and traffic noise.

Great stay in a great location
Very well located hotel with convenient free parking. The staff are what really make this hotel such a pleasure, they are helpful in every way. Breakfast is really good and fresh. We asked for a quiet room with a balcony which is what we got .. very well located for the cinque terra only a few minutes from the train station and the beach for rejuvenation in the evenings. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

Nice hotel with a good sized room. Good breakfast but parking unavailable. We were lucky enough to find a spot but didn't want to move the car. They directed us to a public parking lot if we moved.

Nice and little hotel near of everything
I stay for a few days. The hotel is close to the beach, the downtown, etc. The breakfast is delicious (especially the latte macchiato). And you have free Wi-fi.

The staff were amazingly friendly and very helpful. The location is a great base for exploring the surrounding coastal towns. Room was nicely renovated but bathroom is due for some love. (Though for the price I think it was on point).

Clean hotel
The hotel was a quick decision when we needed a place to stay. It was easily reached by a walk from the train station, and it provided a purpose. We needed to sleep with the window open to be cool that night, and the hotel is on a busy street, so the noise was disrupting. It was a decent hotel, but it wasn't what we wanted so we left after one night. Evaluate your needs, and choose wisely. Nothing wrong, really; it's just not what I wanted.

The four of us (wife and two adult children), had a great stay! Very decent rooms (with cool a/c), centrally located...within walking distance of pretty much everything...clean and nicely set up. The staff were wonderful and helpful. The breakfast was 10/10, with everything from fresh fruit assortments, pastries, cereals, yogurts etc. Expressos and cappuccinos included! Overall a great experience and we highly recommend!

It's nice that this hotel is close to the train station, however, that leads to quite a bit of noise at night. The room was slightly dingy and needs updating. The breakfast buffet had a good selection.

Exactly what I needed.
Easy walk from train station. Close to shopping and dining. Staff very helpful and even held our bags after we checked out so we could pick them up just prior to walking to the train.

The hotel staff made us feel like we were right at home; we felt like we were staying with friends. The hotel was close to the train (which could be a bit confusing at times). We used the beach near the hotel which was wonderful after a day of touring. The hotel staff were very attentive and helpful when recommending restaurants, etc. Our room was clean, beautiful, and one of the biggest rooms we've had in Europe. The bathroom was clean, beautifully tiled. Nice pillows, couch, chairs, desk, bed comfortable. I never did get the name of all the staff, but we want to thank them for their hospitality. The breakfast was great too; once we sat down, our coffee came to the table just the way we like it. We never had to ask, it was just there......and they US a gift on our departure!!

This hotel was in a great location, walking distance from the train and to the sea. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Chiavari, Italy is a beautiful city, I wish we could have stayed a few more days.

Nice hotel on the main highway near the train station and the center of town. The only drawback is there is no elevator, however, the personnel will carry your bags. The Wi-Fi can be a little flakey.

The breakfast is lovely, the service very warm and whilst the room is a little small with shutters on the outside. Bed was comfy and place was very clean and it's only 30 mins from Portofino which is why we were there.

We really liked the hotel's location. It was a short walk to the sea and train station, and an easy starting point for exploring Cinque Terre. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the included breakfast was very nice. It was a no frills hotel, which was fine for us.

Just an ok hotel. In the uninteresting downtown of a fairly uninteresting city. We stayed one night during a trip to Cinque Terre. It was about an hour drive from the 1st town (Riomaggiore). Decent quality for the price, but otherwise uninteresting. Air Conditioning is controlled by the front desk (you have to ask to get it turned on, and we didn't bother), which is annoying.

Chiavari Hotels.....chose the Ferrari
Charming hotel, which although modern has clearly not forgotten old-world courtesy and service. My wife and I were staying for 3 nights in May as a base to visit Cinque Terre and Portofino etc. The desk staff were full of helpful information about how best to get where by train and boat....where to eat and drink etc. Only criticism is the road and train noise, but we stayed put at the front and had no problem sleeping. The other couple were moved without complaint by the hotel to a more "protected area. All round an excellent experience.
