Discover our picturesque Shawnee Farmhouse resting on 30 acres of Southern IL countryside. This property is located just southwest of Golconda, IL, and just north of Metropolis, IL., approximately a 15 min drive to each. The property is approximately a 25-minute drive to Paducah, KY. This 3 bedroom, 2 bath vacation property ensures an unforgettable stay. Nearby attractions include Bell Smith Springs, Dixson Springs, Garden of the Gods, Jackson and Burdon Falls, Lake Glendale and of course the Shawnee National Forest. Other attractions include the Southern IL Wine Trail, with the closest winery being Hog Hollow Winery. Whether you are hunting, hiking, fishing or just planning an off grid stay, the Shawnee Farmhouse ensures a comfortable, secluded Southern IL adventure. The property sleeps 7-8.

Excellent place to stay to explore the eastern portion of the Shawnee National Forest. We used it as a launching point to see the Garden of the Gods, Cave in Rock, and Dixon Springs State Park. Wish we had another day to do more exploring. The cabin is secluded, so stock up on groceries and charcoal for the grill before you arrive. Kitchen was well stocked with pans and utensils that made cooking meals easy. It was comfortable, clean and peaceful. I will definitely stay there again the next time we are in the area.
