My wife and I decided to stay at Hotel Gasthaus Adler because we wanted to experience a quiet, classic, but not far from the black forest at all. Located between farms, it offers amazing views. Their restaurant was amazing! The food, service and atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for. The room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable with a nice bathroom with lots of room. We also had a very spacious balcony were we sat and enjoy the big trees right across the street. Ths staff made it so welcoming, we felt like we were among family! We loved having stayed at Hotel Gasthaus Adler!!!

The office was closed when we arrived during the stated check in times, but we were able to ring the residence of the hotel manager. One of the rooms did not have towels, and the bed linens were not clean. The breakfast was superb! Overall, the place is very quaint and homey.

We LOVED this hotel. It is a charming, olde-worlde hotel with excellent food, comfortable rooms and helpful and friendly staff. We have been on holiday round Germany, staying in many different places and this was definitely our favourite.

Not At All As Pictured!

We ended up getting our money back. We showed up and felt like we were in an Alfred Hitchcock movie. They didn’t have the correct rooms for us, which worked out because they had absolutely no heat, the rooms looked like they hadn’t been touched in ages. There was 5 women traveling solo on this trip and they tried to put a woman in a room by herself which was a red flag. We all felt super uncomfortable with the person checking us in. When I told him we would not be staying he demanded I tell him where I would be staying which I refused to do. He said he would put one person in a room alone and when I said there still was no heat he kind of blew off the issue. It was absolutely freezing in the rooms (maybe 50F). Thankfully we found a room at a nice hotel. I normally love guesthauses but not this one!

Das Zimmer war sauber. Obwohl das Fenster zur Strasse zeigte, war der Strassenverkehr kaum zu hören. Frühstück war nicht aussergewöhnlich, aber reichlich und gut. Was leer geworden war, wurde gleich ausgefüllt. Verbesserungswürdig ist vielleicht noch der Zugang. Auf der Hofseite war es sehr dunkel, als ich Abends ins Hotel wollte.(Gut, dass Handys eine Taschenlampe haben) ;-)

Sauberes Zimmer direkt gegenüber von unserem Zimmer war eine Großbaustelle mit nächtlicher LKW-Anlieferung, dazu Bushaltestelle unterm Fenster Personal spricht teilweise schlecht deutsch, daher wurde unsere Beschwerde über die Lautstärke wohl nicht verstanden Frühstücksangebot vorhanden, leider keine frischen Brötchen Check-In und Check-Out waren formal, wir sollten zunächst nochmals bezahlen da die Buchung nicht einsehbar war.

Prima hotel. Mooie ruime kamer en goede bedden. Vriendelijke gastheer en een top ontbijt. Een tip is als je hier voor een nacht verblijft om een diner plekje te reserveren voor af. Er was weinig plek in het dorpje zelf.
