"Great location and everything was just like the photos!"

"It was a nice property and very beautiful. The owner was very nice and extremely attentive.But the pool area had multiple black widows like it hadn’t been clean in a good while.The chairs recovered in spiderwebs. We couldn’t even sit down on them.when someone was sent over to clean them off, she barely swept them and told me that I had spray under the sink and I could use it if I needed to. I went back out to the pool and the black widow was still there. So we didn’t let the kids get back in.The magnolia suite was very hot and very humid. We were not able to sleep comfortably in there. It wasn’t cooling even at 72 degrees It definitely needed a portable AC unit in there like the other suite.The show barn was an experience and the staff was amazing and great with my kids. "

"The home and property were wonderful. The owner was so helpful and friendly prior and through the entire stay. He took time to call us and walk us through the fishing pond and was excited for the boys to fish for the first time. "

"I'll start by saying that I have stayed in dozens of vacation rental and have never had an instance where I felt it necessary to provide a negative review. We knew the home was older from the listing pictures but there was a key detail that was not mentioned or visible in the listing which is that the only shower in the home was a cast iron tub which had been converted into a shower. One of our guests was an older gentlemen and had we known this detail would have allowed us to make other accommodations. Additionally, as a result of the tub to shower conversion, it created a very narrow and uncomfortable shower area. While standing in the shower, the plastic liner would make contact with both shoulders which was very awkward. I promptly notified the host understanding that this was not something that could be addressed during our stay but should absolutely be highlighted in the listing moving forward so potential guest can be informed. Although uncomfortable we managed the first two night before notifying the host that we would be leaving a day early and staying elsewhere for the remainder of our stay in the area. The host acknowledged our concern but did offer to refund the final day in which the house was not used. "

"When my fiancé and I were considering what we wanted for our wedding, we knew we wanted an intimate location where all our closest family and friends could gather for the weekend. The RMB Longhorn West was everything we could have wanted and more. Mary Beth was the absolute most helpful host and personally so so kind to us and our families. She graciously allowed us to visit the property twice during the 1 1/2 years we were planning. We and our guests alike found that it was the PERFECT location. The home, land, and the livestock were incredible. Mary Beth also owns another home on the property that my husband’s family were able to stay in, further allowing all our people to be in one place! Even if you’re not looking to throw a small wedding like us, this is a beautiful home in a quiet location that is built with gathering in mind. 10/10 experience. Above and beyond what we expected. My husband said that the top bedroom where he and his groomsmen stayed was the best room in the house. Everything was perfect for him from the bathrooms to the nice mattresses in the upstairs room. He wants to the owners to know that he is so thankful for the hospitality from Mary Beth and just how personable she is. Our family loved the large space both inside the home and out. Our guests loved the ample back patio space and fire pit! If you are considering this for your wedding, if intimate is the goal, the RMB Longhorn West is the way to go. "

"Cheryl's property was excellent! She was readily available if we needed anything, and the house is charming! We stayed for the Round Top Antiques Show and it was close enough to get there every day. I would highly recommend her guest house!"
