No longer Denver Hotel now called Maximillian Anderson (?). Lot of renovation being done. Industrial design in the rooms. Great location right across from the train station.

The hotel is in a great location. The front desk staff was very nice. There is currently a lot of renovation going on. The bed that we slept on was really bad, for some reason it was sloping down on both sides.

Property was not transparent about full ongoing renovation. Construction crews from 8 am on each day. Room TV was not hooked up. Refrigerator did not work. Reservation was for a king room, got a queen. Seems to be new ownership.

Room was clean and comfy, however definitely on the small side with minimal toiletries and linens. No mention was made about some rather major lobby construction that apparently is linked to a name change and new owner. The location is excellent to walk anywhere in the local area with plenty of shops and stores.

Our stay at the hotel was great. They were in the middle of renovations from just recently being sold but it wasn’t an issue really unless you don’t like the smell of fresh paint. Proximity to shopping and dining was all in walking distance. Would definitely recommend to others.

There was construction going on, which I knew and didn’t mind but I told the front desk girl to not announce my room number (solo female stay) like she did the guy before me and she didn’t but then proceeded to give instructions to my hall. You can hear everything inside the rooms- they are lock and key and not a keypad type lock situation. Anyone walking down my hallway, woke me up. The people next to me were speaking at normal volume and it was like they were in my room. Wouldn’t fully recommend this hotel.

Advertised as a historic hotel. But, it was undergoing major renovation and a mess. Not the charming historic building it was advertised to be. Reserved a king bed, but our room had a double bed. Disappointing!

Very cool spot. Unfortunately we caught them in middle of remodel but it really didn’t affect us. Room was clean and QUIET. B d was very comfortable and this is very important to me after 4 back surgeries. Staff was incredible!! Thus will definitely be our spot in GS!!! 👊👊👊

Property was under construction when we stayed which would have been nice to know before hand as there was noise and dust related to it. Room didn’t match the pictures- we had double king suite but it felt unfinished - like all of the furniture was just put in the room up against the wall & hadn’t been organized yet. Location is unbeatable if you want to walk everywhere. Room was clean and plenty of towels. Lots of noise from other guests and from the pub below but usually stopped by 11:30pm. Was underwhelmed given what we paid and expected for the price.

So much space with big charm! Also, rooms are very dog friendly. They have windows and enough space for your dog to be comfortable while away from the hotel. Will book again!

Didn’t know it was undergoing a renovation. That didn’t matter. Room had paint smears on the interior side of room and also the bathroom door. Power strip was used for lamps and fridge. Just some aesthetics that the staff might want to be aware of.

Expedia should have noted the construction happening. Very noisy! Lots of tarps, front desk is a folding table in a hallway. Have stayed here before and enjoyed it previously.

Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There were renovations going on during our stay. This seems like information that should be disclosed when you book. There was a lot of hammering and construction noises. Thankfully, we did not hear the noise in our room, but other people were complaining that they could hear it from their room.

The hotel was under construction, so to stay during day to the a rest isn’t an options , because during week from 9 to 1700 hrs it was bad experience , especially as a crew or any kind of people that’s want to rest .

There were barking dogs right across the hall from us. The entire floor sounded like a kennel. We spoke with the front desk who said they would reach out to the owner. However, upon return from dinner two hours later, the dogs were still barking. I will have to think long and hard about staying at a hotel that allows dog owners to leave their dogs unattended.

We thought the rooms would be older looking but they were more modern with slightly older decor accents. The bed was a bit too soft for me but I'm sure it would be comphy for most. I'm a back sleeper. I would give it 5 stars but it was under renovation's and wasn't aware when we booked it and they started hammering around 8am and stuff torn apart. The parking wasn't too convenient, it was around the building across the street and the back door wasn't unsable. They did pay for parking which was nice. The staff was friendly just not over the top, just basic customer service. When we left to return the keys, the front desk was explaining to an in coming guest that they can get discounts for the Iron mountain hot springs and a few other places which was NOT disclosed to us at all. I was annoyed that we could have saved some money going to local places with our stay. I would stay here again, and look forward to when it's all updated.

There is some construction going on, but that didn’t ruin our stay. The updates to the rooms were great and the beds were super comfy. The location is unbeatable to all the restaurants. The hallways are a bit noisy inside your room, but nothing a sound machine can’t fix!
