"This is a beautiful place to stay. The view is spectacular. Rooms were clean and the staff was amazing. The only issue was that we expected a tv, but didn't have one. But found out that we didn't need it after all. That was the only reason I gave it 4 stars."

"I was allocated Room 10 and found there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom and I couldn’t open the window. It was too high and tightly closed and locked. I needed assistance to open it. Plus the “heated towel rail” had no way to turn it on. There was conflicting advice from reception staff about it so I realised it didnt work. Everything else about this hotel was lovely. Quiet location, superb food in the restaurant ( best Sunday roast dinner I’ve ever had! ), amazing breakfasts and an actual coffee machine that makes Flat whites and lattes! Don’t bother going down to town, just eat here. The staff were lovely as well. I would recommend and stay here again, just not in Room 10. Remember to bring your own face washer to Scotland!"

"Great location to the ferry - very dog friendly - staff very helpful - spa facilities excellent - food good - could provide a separate table from restaurant for those with dogs - eating breakfast and evening meal sitting on a sofa not very comfortable. We stayed at Kingsmill Hotel Inverness and they provided a table away from restaurant and bar - so much more comfortable eating at a table rather than being crunched up on a low sofa or chairs."

"No menu, service slow, bedroom windows latches faulty, bedroom door lock very slack, central heating not working. However bed very comfortable and bathroom recently spruced up. Hotel surroundings poor with no obvious main entrance. WIFI POOR TO NON EXISTENT"

"Excellent location to get around whole peninsula. Spend each morning watching birds land for peanuts on table. Squirrel ran across deck one morning only and apair of white tales flew over being mobbed by a crow. Also saw my first grey wagtail down road to Dorlin. Cottage very comfortable, log burner excellent to set up and lovely to watch. Mingarry hotel great for food, a little posher and glenshiel hotel, more like pub food but good. Would definitely return."
