The White Mountain Retreat - Close to Land History, Skiing and Outlet Shopping

Your next vacation spot is nestled quietly in a beautiful neighborhood at the base of a mountain, just minutes from dozens of popular NC/NH spots. 4 bdrms + sleeps 10+ (1 king, 3 queen, 2 twin, plus sofa's for 2 more). Enjoy a full kitchen, pellet stove,and a large basement with a foosball table and WII U console. This lovely home is located within the outer limits of White Mountain National Forest, and is just minutes away from dozens of popular attractions including Cranmore Mountain Resort, Attitash, Wildcat, Settlers' Green Outlet Village, Kangamagus Highway, Kahuna Laguna water park, Conway Scenic Railroad, Cathedral Ledge, and Mount Washington Observatory. Amenities include a full kitchen, pellet stove, foosball table, Apple TV, and numerous large windows for easy viewing of the beautiful mountain surroundings. The house has cable and several TVs for viewing, and is also equipped with wireless internet service for your use. Please enjoy our deck and backyard, which has a peekaboo view of the mountains and is equipped with a gas grill, outdoor furniture, and fire pit. Just be sure not to leave your snacks unguarded... The neighborhood is home to a great deal of wildlife; you might even spot a bear if you're lucky! You will also have access to the Club at Christmas Mountain about 1 mile from our home which has a pool, fitness room, basketball court, game room, and a spa. ($7 per person per day). A washer and dryer are also available (free of charge) so you won't need to do a bunch of laundry after returning home from your vacation. Enjoy it as your own, and please treat it with love and care so that we many continue to use it with our families and share it with yours for many years to come! The neighborhood is wonderful... While you are just a few miles from countless activities, shops, and restaurants, the neighborhood is quiet. The streets are perfect for taking a peaceful bike ride or walk with loved ones. (Lots of Hills) Please be respectful of the neighbors, and keep outdoor noise to a minimum - especially after dark. There is plenty of public parking at nearly all major attractions. If you prefer the convenience of public transportation, daily unlimited riding and "door to door" service is available in North Conway and the surrounding communities; please visit Carroll County Transportation's website for more details ((URL HIDDEN) Taxi service is also available. When you arrive, you will find information from a number of our favorite restaurants, shops, and attractions. If you have your own favorites, feel free to add it to the collection! We will also provide you with emergency contact information, including that of an on-call maintenance company if something unforeseen should happen. Great trip-would definitely return

We really enjoyed staying here. The location was excellent- very close to Storyland, Echo Lake State Park, etc. There was plenty of space for 6 adults and 2 small kids.

Great property!

We stayed at this home with a group of 8 adults and 2 small children. The place was very clean and well appointed. It has a great back deck with a view of the mountains. We would definitely go back! Kerri was great to work with - very responsive and helpful throughout the rental process.

Ideal for a multi-family visit to Storyland

We stayed for our family’s first visit to Storyland with another family and the house was wonderful. clean, spacious, close to Storyland and the pizza place at the bottom of the street was a hit too. Tired kids, full bellies and beautiful views. Thank you for sharing your home with us. We look forward to coming back next year!

Beautiful log home

This rental home was beautiful, clean and perfect in every way for 4 couples. Enough space for all of us to hang out all together and not feel crowded. Kerri the property manager was great to deal with calls/e-mails were promptly answered. (Deposit was promptly returned). We were all thrilled with the home and have already talked about returning next year!

Perfect for multi-family vacation

overall this place was great. everything was clean and in good condition. it had all the amenities that we would want. the location was great too. we only had 2 complaints: 1. the candy dispensers ended up being problematic for our families with kiddos and were completely unnecessary. 2. it was nice to have pool access, but we had to pay $7 per person every time we used the pool.

Great home for the weekend

I stayed here with my family for the weekend in October and it was great! There was plenty of room for all of us (seven adults and one child). The house was very clean and in great condition. The living room was perfect for all of us to hang out and play cards/watch tv at night. We made a fire in the fire pit outside both nights and it was very nice. The one downside was we every now and then we could smell the septic system while sitting outside. Besides that, we have absolutely no complaints and would definitely come back! It was very close to Storyland and in a great spot. The linens and towels were provided and it was nice not having to pack those with us. I'd absolutely recommend this home!

Great school vacation

We just returned from a great family vacation week at this rental. There were several adults and 4 kids and there was plenty of room for all .The house was very clean, new and well equipped. The location is awesome; close to skiing, tubing, restaurants and shopping. The pictures are exactly what you get except it is bigger than photos. Our only complaint was some of the beds were not too comfortable. Kerri the manager is amazing to work with. We needed to be plowed out once and ran out of sand/salt for driveway and she literally had someone at house in 15 minutes. She answers all your calls or email immediately and is super nice to deal with. We will definitely try to come back again. Thanks. Great time

Wonderful place - new, clean, conenient

Responsive owners. The beautiful log cabin appeared new and updated. Fantastic mountain views. New TV with cable. Internet access was appreciated. Easy to use pellet stove heated the place up quickly when we arrived. Beds were made in advance which was very helpful when arriving Friday evening late with little kids. Nice touch. Forgot towels but some were there and they were very nice and soft. Vacationed with two families and there was room for adults and kids in separate areas. All agreed to return here for another ski trip. Wish we knew about it before when we went to Storyland since its so close to that place. Areas for improvement: mattresses (one couple put it on the floor as the mattress base was broken); no rail for top bunk bed so could not use for child, and; and upon leaving, a minivan got stuck in the sloping driveway for 20 minutes - could not get up the hill to the road with the icy driveway and snow dusting from night before. It was a tough winter all around:( Neither we nor the cabin had salt to help get out. Need 4WD to come here in winter. Would definitely return.

A great spot for being in the North Conway area. Perfect for a large family.

The cabin can fit two families, but would be perfect for a large family vacationing in North Conway. We happened to pick the week that rained and stormed everyday. The video games and semi-functional air-hockey table helped a lot to keep the kids entertained. The fun-ball table saw little play time do to poor condition. The floor air conditioning unit was loud and difficult to have conversation over and only provided limited relief. Not only did it rain everyday, it was also very humid. The cabin is beautiful and laid out nicely. The inventory appeared to need updating! Never had the opportunity to enjoy the fire pit due to non-stop rain for a week, but LOVED the mountain view from the windows. Had two opportunities to eat outside between showers and really enjoyed the private location. The owner was friendly, and easy to contact. Would refer and potentially return in the the future. Great little cabin.

Fantastic home

Home was gorgeous. Immaculate. Owners have gone out of way to accommodate all needs in home with fully stocked kitchen, games, large flat screen tvs with apple tv, picnic table, gas grills, etc.. While we did not have the greatest of weather firepit was used 3 of 4 nights we were there. We had 6 adults and 1 child. Each set of adults had their own floor for added privacy when wanted and common rooms were great. Have rented thru HomeAway before and by far this was the best. The only reason I am hesitant to post such a good review is when we want to return to area (and we will)will be afraid everyone will love it as much we did and it wont be available :)

Great vacation property!

Incredible vacation property! We had 8 adults and 2 infants, but everyone had tons of "private" space when needed, and the whole family enjoyed the great room, deck and well-appointed kitchen. Very close to everything we wanted to do and see. Didn't use the pool - didn't need to. Would definitely recommend!

Great rental!

We had a great time renting the cabin. The house was very new, incredibly clean and well-appointed. There were 2 families (8 people) and we had plenty of room and some to spare. Kerri was very responsive and made the rental process easy. We hope to rent the cabin again in the future!

Great Log Cabin - great location!

We loved this cabin. Great views, very comfortable and cozy with an open floor plan. The kitchen is well stocked and The house was very clean upon arrival... having the beds made was a bonus. We had 3 families at this house for a few nights and there was plenty of room for all of us to have our own separate space. We loved the location as it was very close to the attractions we were visiting (Story Land, Echo Lake, Attitash, etc.) with a lot less traffic. There are also great restaurants nearby... Delaney's, Red Fox, Red Parker Pub, Spaghetti Shed, etc. The house is still very close to North Conway attractions, too. There is a store very close that has pizzas, salads, beer, wine and other basics, but head to Shop n Save if you're looking for more variety. Kerri was extremely helpful and responsive. The only downfall was that we didn't use the pool as often as we thought as there is a daily per person fee even for toddlers that weren't swimming. We'd definitely come back. Thanks, Kerri!

Great house as advertised

The house was even better than we thought it would be. Very clean & the air conditioning & the finished basement offered nice extras. The quiet setting in the woods was exactly what we were hoping for, but not far away from the activities (Mt. Cranmore, Saco River, outlets shopping) and restaurants (Cabin Fever & Magarita's) we enjoy. I enjoyed the extras of hitnessing three bear cubs walk through the front yard one morning during our stay, but my wife was not so happy about it. The neighbors are close so hope they are not too loud. We did get loud guests come in on our last night (stayed up till 3am talking out on their deck), so we were glad we were leaving the next day versus having to deal with them all week. Overall we had a great week & will keep this house on our short list for consideration next year.

Comfortable, roomy house

Eight of us stayed at the log cabin over the weekend. We went to Santa's Village and Story Land. The house was very comfortable, had everything we needed. We especially enjoyed the open kitchen, the views, the fire pit at night and the kids enjoyed having the basement to lounge in the morning when it was raining outside. It was quite relaxing. We got pizza from Kringles. Easy and tasty! Enjoyed the trip. Would return in a heart beat! Thank you, Kerri! Perfect family getaway. Wish we had one more day to relax because the house was a nice place to do nothing!!

Awesome Stay

This is by far one of the best vacation home we rented. We were group of 3 families with 5 adults and 4 kids. The adults had seperate cozy bedrooms on the first and second floor, while the kids were easily accommadated in the basement that had a bedroom and play room with TV. Very convenient to story land and White mountain. 2 min drive to nearby pizza and convenience store. The home had everything for cooking your own meals as well. Very quiet nieghborhood elevated uphill and beautiful sunset view from the deck. Everyone in the family was so impressed they couldn't stop appreciating me on the whole trip. Btw, the property manager Kerri was awesome and answered all my questions while booking and made it really easy. We cant wait for the next NH trip i will surely stay in this property and would aboslutely recommend to friends and family.
